Heli must try and protect his young family when his 12-year-old sister inadvertently involves them in the brutal drug world. He must battle against the drug cartel that have been angered as well as the corrupt police force.

Heli, a factory worker in rural Mexico must try and protect his young family when his 12 year old sister inadvertently involves them in the brutal drug world when she agrees to look after some cocaine found by her older boyfriend. Twelve-year-old Estela lives with her father, her brother Heli, his young wife and their baby boy in a dilapidated, two-room house somewhere in a downgraded region of central Mexico. Secretly in love with Beto, a seventeen-year-old police recruit who would like to marry her and run away together, Estela allows him to hide a cocaine package in her home. Soon, the local drug cartel, a special police unit, and the military discover who stole the drugs, and an endless spiral of violence commences, putting in grave danger Heli's family.—Nick Riganas
