After a plane crash orphans Elena, Christian adopts her. Years later, he forces her into marriage despite dating her sister Lucia and separating her from friend Peter, but Elena and Christian can't leave each other.

When the entire Edwards family dies in a plane crash, Christian impressions the 7 year old daughter of the pilot, Elena. 10 years later he exiles her friend, Peter, after believing Peter is Elana's boyfriend. Christian forces Elena into marriage, even as he's dating her sister, Lucia. Nonetheless, Christian and Elana both refuse to leave each other.
