I am really behind on K-Drama being from the US - just watching 2011 series now. I really liked this one as it was fun, cute, humorous and not too serious. I loved the leading male Ryu Soo Young as he fit the role perfectly and also cool and handsome. The leading female played the role of naive cutesy commoner who had alot to learn well. I only gave 8 stars instead of 10 because of the scripting near the end - I never really care for the time lapses of the leading male at the end of episodes (years when he disappears), and I have seen this frequently on K-Drama scripts. Would rather that ending concept would not be used, so got a little frustrated at the end. At the same time you know it has to end well eventually, but the waiting for something to happen and also more romance to happen is hard. Of course the last episode in K-Drama typically has updates on everyone in the series to give you closure, but it was the update on the leading couple I was really waiting for. I could give a rat's ass on the Director Oh and Professor's relationship. All in all, the ending finally gives closure to what happens to the leading couple.

I was one of those fortunate enough to see a few episodes of this on a site called "TVNihon" shortly after it was aired on South Korean television. So when I found out it had been released on DVD, I had to buy it for my collection.
To my annoyance, the company that released the DVDs (Medialink) replaced the original opening and ending with garbage and some guy singing about his "baby girl" (the original music was pure instrumental and more fitting). Also, quite a few times the subtitling appears and disappears in a fraction of a second making it impossible to read unless you rewind and advance frame-by-frame (the titling is only on 2 frames before disappearing).

The story line wanted to be good but seriously, the worst screen play writing ever. I was hoping for a more historically accurate representation of a princess being presented to the people of Korea.
Don't even get me started on the music used in this series. Wow! horrid noise that had to be endured throughout the show made my anxiety levels skyrocket.
