Adapted from the 1967 musical play "I'm Sorry the Bridge Is Out, You'll Have to Spend the Night" by Bobby "Boris" Pickett and Sheldon Allman.
Sarah Douglas who appears in this film as Countess 'Nasty' Dracula, had previously appeared as one of Dracula's brides in Drácula (1974), which was released over 20 years earlier.
The 1967 play on which the film is based did not include the 1962 song "Monster Mash" in its score. A new version was recorded for the film.
Bobby Pickett the writer and performer of the early 1960s song, "Monster Mash", has a featured role as 'Dr. Victor Frankenstein'.
