I literally stumbled onto this series while surfing on the net. I have read CJ Sansom's entire Shardlake series, never dreamt that they would make a television series based on the books, am so thrilled. Arthur Hughes is perfect as Shardlake, although the character as portrayed on tv is a little more spry than I've imagined in the novels. I hope they'll continue to produce more seasons of this book series. My favorites are Sovereign and Tombland, and would so love to see them being made. My hunch tells me that they must be thinking it since they introduced Jack Barack as his assistant here rather than Mark Poer. Keeping my fingers crossed.
