Who said nepotism is only for the children of celebrities?

Andie MacDowell made an appearance on Thursday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she revealed she’s experiencing “reverse nepotism” because of her now-famous daughter Margaret Qualley.

The Way Home actress said nepotism is something “they always accuse the children of.” However, she added, “I’m now cool because I’m Margaret Qualley’s mom. And also Jack Antonoff’s mother-in-law. I’m like, it’s a double whammy.”

MacDowell also told host Jimmy Fallon that she’s received “letters in the mailbox” from people who “think [she’s] wonderful and they’re 13.” The 66-year-old actress has clearly reached a new, younger audience thanks to her 30-year-old daughter.

Qualley followed in her mother’s acting footsteps, most recently starring in The Substance, opposite Demi Moore. Her role as Sue earned her a Golden Globe nomination. She has also been married to Antonoff,...
