Ariana Grande is setting the record straight after a video went viral on social media that pointed out her radical voice change within seconds.

The Wicked film star was recently interviewed by Podcrushed. In the TikTok video, Grande starts speaking in a deeper voice and suddenly snaps and goes into a higher-pitched voice.

Since the video was posted a day ago, it has had over 5M views, and it reached Grande herself, who replied with an explanation as to the reason behind the sudden vocal change.

“Habit (speaking like this for two years) and also vocal health,” Grande replied. “I intentionally change my vocal placement (high/low) often depending on how much singing I’m doing. I’ve always done this Bye.”
