Exclusive: The Vampire Diaries alum Matthew Davis and Alexander Hodge (Insecure) have been tapped as series regulars opposite Melissa Fumero, AnnaSophia Robb and Ben Rappaport in Grosse Pointe Garden Society, NBC‘s drama pilot from Jenna Bans, Bill Krebs and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.

The drama follows four members of a suburban garden club — including Birdie (Fumero), Alice (Robb) and Brett (Rappaport) — all from different walks of life, who get caught up in murder and mischief as they struggle to make their conventional lives bloom.

Davis plays Joel, a police officer, Misty’s husband and the father of their adopted son, Tom, whom Birdie (Fumero) takes an interest in. Burned out by his job and life in this suburban town, he just needs the slightest push to embrace a dark side of his own.
