The relationship that Rick and Morty share stands as one of the most interesting aspects of the show, in my opinion. Although dissecting Rick’s psyche is one of my favorite things to do, it cannot be completely done without analyzing his relationship with Morty. The series has maintained a certain level of consistency when it comes to its relationship. Whether this is a good thing or a bad thing is up to public opinion.
However, there is no denying that the power dynamic is toxic in many ways. This has been a point of criticism among fans, not targeted towards the creators, but towards Rick’s character. With so many complexities when it comes to their grandfather-grandson relationship, it would seem that the eighth season might finally bring a change to this dynamic.

Drew Carey often assists contestants in playing games on The Price Is Right, but he won’t always gift them a win.
While the game show host’s mistake helped one contestant win earlier this season, he shut another one down who tried to make things easier.
The highlight occurred during a Tpir episode where a contestant tried to win a new car.
However, she was playing a game involving skills to determine item prices and some putting ability on the green.
With Hole in One, contestants attempt to arrange grocery and household items from least to most expensive across a fake golf putting green.
The more items a contestant correctly arranges in a row, the closer the contestant attempts their putt from to make a hole in one and win a car.

Autism isn’t some rare mystery condition hiding in the shadows; it’s actually way more common than most people think. It’s not a sickness or something you catch, and it definitely doesn’t come with a one-size-fits-all manual. Autism is just a different way some brains are wired.
Some folks might find it tricky to pick up on social cues or get overwhelmed by loud noises or bright lights, while others might have a super sharp memory, hyper-focus, or a unique creative flair. And guess what? That includes people in Hollywood, too.
Yep, the glitz, glam, and red carpets don’t magically make autism disappear. In fact, a bunch of famous faces are on the autism spectrum, and they’ve been rocking their talents in ways that totally prove autism doesn’t hold anyone back. From award-winning actors to chart-topping musicians, some celebs have openly shared their diagnosis,...

Suits was a perfect blend of humor and courtroom drama featuring some of the most complex characters out there. It also showcased several romantic plotlines, out of which fans definitely cheered for Donna Paulsen and Harvey Spector. Moreover, she was also called the ultimate fixer, praised for being his voice of reason as well as the one who could always pull him back from the edge.
But when you take a closer look at the duo, was she really the solution to his struggles or just plain, lazy writing? So, instead of showcasing his real trauma in the show, Suits leaned towards Donna as an instant cure.

The Black Sunday Film Festival is back with blood on its boots and a mission to celebrate the boldest voices in genre cinema. Now in its sixth edition, the Essex-based event has announced a striking line-up for 2025, running from 1st to 3rd May at Colchester’s Firstsite. Championing independent horror, dark sci-fi, psychological thrillers and everything in between, the festival has carved out a reputation for unearthing daring new work from both the UK and beyond. This year’s programme is no exception.
Opening night sets the tone with three wildly different but equally provocative features. Kaye Adelaide’s The Rebrand makes its UK debut, turning influencer culture inside out in a mockumentary that promises satire with bite. That’s followed by Mary Beth McAndrews’ Bystanders, an unflinching revenge thriller that left festival audiences reeling during its previous run on the circuit. The triple-bill concludes with the Essex premiere of Krazy House,...

Courtney Love surprised attendees at the Royal Geographical Society in London by singing a cover of the Bob Dylan classic “Like a Rolling Stone.”
The Hole singer was at the venue on Tuesday (March 4th) to host a conversation with actor-writer Todd Almond to discuss his new book Slow Train Coming: Bob Dylan’s Girl From the North Country and Broadway’s Rebirth. Following the talk, the pair were joined by an acoustic guitarist as they got up to sing “Like a Rolling Stone,” with Love on lead vocals and Almond backing her up.
The performance came 59 years after Dylan sang the song at his famous 1966 concert at Royal Albert Hall, which is right next door to the Royal Geographical Society. It also came roughly a year after Love joined Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong for a few Cheap Trick and Tom Petty covers in London.

In May 1966, Bob Dylan famously sang “Like a Rolling Stone” at the Royal Albert Hall. Nearly 60 years later, Courtney Love performed the classic right next door.

A massive trove of live performances from the late-Nineties/early-Aughts glory days of music television has finally made it to the streaming era, with Paramount+ uploading old episodes of MTV Unplugged, CMT Crossroads, and VH1 Storytellers.
As Billboard notes, these collections aren’t entirely comprehensive, with random episodes and full seasons missing here and there for all three programs. Nevertheless, there’s still a deep assortment of classic performances to dig through, including most of the episodes that appeared on Rolling Stone’s list of the 15 Best Episodes of MTV Unplugged.

It goes without saying that Nicole Kidmanis one of the greatest actors working today. It is hard to think of another performer who has consistently been at the center of film culture for over three decades and who has continued to take chances on risky projects that many of her peers would be too afraid to touch. One issue that many famous stars face is reaching a level of fame in which they are so easily identifiable that it is challenging for them to “disappear” into a role that requires them to portray an ostensibly normal person. However, Kidman gave one of the most riveting performances of her career as a grieving mother in the powerful dramaRabbit Hole. Even though it was a performance that earned her a very well-deserved Academy Award nomination for Best Actress, Rabbit Hole is such an upsetting portrayal of loss and depression that it has...

Unlike her hit song, Macy Gray didn’t stumble while walking off the UK version of The Masked Singer. On the most recent episode of the singing competition, the artist — dressed as Toad in the Hole — stormed off the stage after her elimination. Watch a clip below.
It reportedly took an hour to coax Gray back out for her exit interview, during which she gave short answers. According to the Daily Mail, Gray was “blindsided” by being eliminated in the season’s third episode after previously reaching the finals of the US version of The Masked Singer in 2023.
Host Joel Dommett described the incident as the “funniest thing I’ve ever seen in my life” while speaking to BBC Radio 2’s Paddy McGuinness. Dommett also joked that eliminated contestants can’t be too upset because they “get the same money and you don’t have to do anything else.

“HBO’s latest limited series “Get Millie Black,” from acclaimed writer Marlon James, begins and ends with a haunted house. Not literally haunted, but filled with painful memories of a broken home—an abusive mother steeped in homophobia who kept two siblings apart. For James, having the Jamaica based childhood home of detective Millie Black (Tamara Lawrance) and her sister Hibiscus (ChynaMcQueen) was a good starting point for exploring their relationship, but also the larger things like human trafficking that the series gets into. “A house is home and for a huge part of the show, Millie tries to turn it back into a home,” James told IndieWire. “Well, a home is also where the abuse happens. A home is where the hurt happens. A home is where their first encounter of people at their worst doing horrible things. A house can hide so many things. The house is the...

Courtney Love has shared more details about her upcoming solo album, including its collaborators — both the ones who said yes and the one who, apparently, ghosted her.
As she explained in a new interview with The Standard, Love didn’t “intend” for the album to be so collaborative. She’s choosing to keep most of its contributors close to the vest, but she did confirm Michael Stipe’s involvement. “Stipe mentioned our collaboration to The New York Times, so I can say it’s gorgeous,” Love explained. “I fell down weeping hearing his voice – it’s better than ever! I thought I knew the outcome, but I’m still the grasshopper while Michael is the sensei.”
She also confirmed that that Echo & the Bunnymen’s Will Sergeant plays on the album. “Will Sergeant, my favorite guitarist on earth, from my favorite band agreed to work with me!,” Love said. “He’s such an icon.

Quick Links The Snowman Got Lost in Translation The Snowman Is Completely Incoherent The Snowman Is a Complete Disaster
By all accounts, it shouldve been a guaranteed hit. For 2017s The Snowman, all the right pieces were theoretically in place. It was adapted from a critically acclaimed crime novel by Jo Nesb. It reunited the creative team behind the excellent Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, namely director Tomas Alfredson and writer Peter Straughan. And it boasted a top-tier cast, with names like Michael Fassbender, Rebecca Ferguson, and J.K. Simmons. All of that clear talent seemed like a recipe for an excellent crime thriller.

If you're looking to relish in some '90s nostalgia, there's no better show to watch than That '90s Show. The sequel series to That '70s Show takes place in 1996 and pays homage to multiple iconic and nostalgic pop culture references from the decade, from its parody sequences (Doug! Clueless! Pulp Fiction!) to its music to its episode titles. It's a hilarious time capsule that will unlock so many memories for '90s kids.
While the first season of That '90s Show featured episode titles that directly referenced situations in the episode, the second season — a.k.a. parts 2 and 3 — picked up a tradition from its sire series. John and the Hole is a compelling coming-of-age film with dark elements and thought-provoking themes on wealth and maturity. The movie raises questions about adulthood as young John, played by Charlie Shotwell, takes extreme measures to explore independence. The film's ending left audiences divided, with some praising its unsettling nature and others feeling the conclusion lacked insight.
John and the Hole is the 2021 debut feature film from Spanish director Pascual Sisto, and its statements on wealth, maturity, and evil make for an intriguing deep dive. Merry's use of an enchanted dagger in Lotr movies creates a plot hole in the Witch-king's demise. The original Barrow-blade in Tolkien's novels was crucial in defeating the Witch-king, not a Noldorin dagger. Galadriel giving Merry a blade contradicts the original story, as the powerful Barrow-blades were forged by men.
Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings movies are considered perhaps the greatest cinematic adaptation ever created, but even those epic masterpieces are not without flaws, as is the case with the plot hole they caused regarding the Witch-king of Angmar's death. Sauron's most fearsome and powerful soldier was every bit as evil as the Dark Lord himself, and in the movies, was even powerful enough to break Gandalf's staff. The greatest of the Nazgl, the Witch-king was believed to be all but unkillable, which made his demise at the Battle of the Pelennor Fields so noteworthy.

In Outer Range season 1, episode 7, Rebecca surprisingly returned and took Amy. Still, it was only during Outer Range season 2s finale that...

Courtney Love has never been shy when it comes to sharing her opinions about other people. Going all the way back to the early Nineties, the Hole singer has generated headlines by publicly trashing rock musicians, pop singers, movie stars, and even members of her own family. It’s a level of brutal candor you rarely see with public figures, but as Courtney Love told Rolling Stone in 1994, she simply doesn’t care what others think about her. “If people try to put me in the crazy box–’crazy fucking Courtney’–go ahead,...

Filmmakers are capitalizing on public domain characters like Oswald the Lucky Rabbit for horror films like Oswald Down the Rabbit Hole. Ernie Hudson is set to star in the new film as Oswald Jebediah Coleman, a brilliant animator trapped in a magical prison. This sinister take on the nostalgic cartoon character aims to bring a unique and vengeful spirit to life on screen.
When beloved characters from years past enter the public domain, it's inevitable that filmmakers will find a way to use them for all manner of twisted purposes. It happened with Winnie the Pooh via the Blood and Honey franchise, and it will happen once more with a new film titled Oswald Down the Rabbit Hole, which has tapped Ghostbusters star Ernie Hudson as its lead. Oswald the Lucky Rabbit was a pivotal character in Disney's early years from 1927 to 1938, before he was replaced by Mickey Mouse.

George A. “’I sacrificed my love on the altars of fame,’ Leonard Cohen said in the ‘70s,” “So Long, Marianne” showrunner Øystein Karlsen notes. Cohen was referring of course to his ‘60s decade-long relationship with Norway’s Marianne Ilhen, which shaped him for life.
One of the highest-profile and most anticipated world premieres in Series Mania main competition, “So Long, Marianne” is a coming of age love story which, in a quietly innovative, genre-breaking turn, asks whether the place in the world chosen by one character, Leonard Cohen, was always for his good.
Sold by Cineflix Rights as an eight-part series, “So Long, Marianne” begins in 1959 focusing on Norway’s Marianne Ilhen and Cohen’s love idyll on Hydra, a Greek island, which Ilhen reaches as the partner of budding Norwegian novelist Axel Jensen, and Cohen looking to find a place where, he says in Episode 1, he “can take responsibility for my own identity.

The further we get from the Nineties, the more it looks like a series of musical golden ages all stacked atop one another, a kaleidoscopic moment when grimy hip-hop and future-shock R&b hit artistic and commercial peaks at the same time as a procession of fuzz-pedal-toting rock bands found themselves at the center of pop culture.
It was the best-ever era for one-hit wonders, even as major labels — suddenly uncertain in era when Nirvana or Wu-Tang Clan could beat out manicured product — also threw money at career artists from Fiona Apple to Outkast.

Jbl Fest came to Las Vegas for the first time this year, partnering with the music festival Life Is Beautiful to bring a blend of sound, festivity, and surprise to the strip. It was only my second time in Las Vegas and my first time at a music festival in many years, so I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. The festival was based at the Park MGM, a proudly eco-friendly hotel that charmed me from the get-go. Narrowing down the funniest women in anime is challenging simply because there are so many to choose from. In Western media, female characters don't always get to be as funny as their male counterparts. This is because they're often made to be the more serious counterpart to the male characters. Take a sitcom wife, for example, who is usually the voice of reason to her husband. Fortunately, women in anime get to be downright hilarious, whether their brand of humor is absurdist, slapstick, deadpan, or something else entirely.
Anime is a medium that lends itself well to humor, so it's no surprise that many female cast members get to play comedic roles. Characters can have overblown physical or emotional reactions in ways that don't detract from the story, even adding to it. Anime is also full of tropes that are fun to parody, and plenty of female characters get their...

Doja Cat has dropped the new single “Attention,” a hopeful little taste of what her as-yet-unannounced fourth album might sound like.
Built around a funky, mid-tempo beat with swirling harps galore, the track shows off Doja’s newer, rawer direction. In May, the 27-year-old claimed that her previous two albums were “cash-grabs,” tweeting: “I realized I hadn’t done anything personal and that I was cranking out digestible pop hits for children on Twitter to get into fights about.” Focusing more on rap verses than sugary pop hooks, “Attention” builds on the same theme, with lyrics like “You follow me, but you don’t really care about the music” to boot.
The accompanying music video is a change of pace for Doja too — whereas the videos for Planet Her’s singles played upon her knack for sexual playfulness, the video for “Attention” offers stark images like Doja covered head-to-toe in...

While many of the gags featured in The Simpsons are fairly straightforward, some are so complex that they are still being debated decades after they initially aired. During the show’s heyday, The Simpsons was a critical darling. The so-called Golden Age of The Simpsons (roughly seasons 3–12) was so acclaimed that many cultural commentators and writers still cite this period as some of the medium’s best comedy writing. As Matt Zoller Seitz noted when writing about the series, at its best, The Simpsons was “ambitious, intimate, classical, experimental, hip, corny, and altogether free in its conviction.” Seemingly endless rewrites contributed to this well-earned reputation.
According to The Simpsons writers, scripts from this era often underwent over 30 sets of rewrites. While The Simpsons season 34 repeated stories from this period, the Golden Age was celebrated for its endless invention and creativity. However, these rewrites and ambitious attempts to outdo the show...

Over five years after bombing with critics and at the box office, Michael Fassbender's The Snowman is enjoying a sudden rise in popularity on Netflix. Based on the seventh book in Jo Nesbø's Harry Hole series, the film centers on an alcoholic-yet-brilliant inspector in Norway who tries to solve a series of bizarre killings in which the murderer leaves behind the eponymous figure. Fassbender led the ensemble cast of The Snowman that also featured Rebecca Ferguson, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Val Kilmer, J.K. Simmons, Toby Jones and Chloë Sevigny, among others.
As first noted by Uproxx, one Michael Fassbender movie is dominating Netflix's trending charts in spite of its terrible legacy. The Snowman, which premiered on the streaming platform on April 16, has quickly shot up the charts within its first week of debuting on Netflix, consistently appearing in its Top Ten and even holding the No. 1 spot for various periods of time.

Warning: Spoilers For Rabbit Hole Episodes 1-4 Below!Kiefer Sutherland's new thriller Rabbit Hole might be facing comparisons to 24, but his character is no Jack Bauer. 24 was part of a wave of spy shows and movies that brought the genre down to Earth during the early 2000s. 24, The Bourne Identity and Bond reboot Casino Royale largely ditched the gadgets and gloss in favor of more real-world concerns. 24's relentless pacing and great characters saw it run for nine seasons and a spinoff titled 24: Legacy, while CTU agent Jack Bauer reminds Sutherland's most famous character.

Despite persistent calls for some kind of 24 revival, Sutherland's return to the espionage genre is something decidedly different.
