Walton Goggins, Aaron Moten, and Ella Purnell in Fallout (2024)
Prime Video Sets 17 Sept. Launch for Gen V Season 2
Walton Goggins, Aaron Moten, and Ella Purnell in Fallout (2024)
Amazon has set 17 September 2025 for the return of Gen V, dropping the first three episodes on Prime Video in more than 240 territories and then rolling out weekly instalments until the finale on 22 October. The date was revealed during a Ccxp Mexico panel whose sizzle reel positioned the college-based Boys spin-off alongside marquee titles such as Fallout and The Rings of Power. A teaser posted moments later confirmed the split-launch structure and showed Godolkin University under new dean “Cipher,” portrayed by Hamish Linklater.

Seven principal cast members are back, including Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann and Sean Patrick Thomas, according to official first-look photos shared in March. Collider adds that Patrick Schwarzenegger’s Golden Boy will appear only in flashbacks, while no actor will step into the shoes of Andre Anderson following Chance Perdomo’s death. Show-runner Michele Fazekas told reporters the writers “re-charted...

Terrence Howard Movie Shoot Hit With IATSE Strike
Image
Crew members working on an upcoming Terrence Howard film called Cipher are on strike against the production as they attempt to secure a union contract.

Behind-the-scenes workers on the project, which is filming in and outside Louisville, Kentucky, began picketing on Wednesday after the production allegedly ignored a request to voluntarily recognize IATSE as the workers’ bargaining representative. The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to several of Cipher’s producers for comment.

According to a union-side source, crew members sought a union contract in large part so their work on the production could contribute to the qualifying days required to access IATSE benefits. The source alleges that some production has continued since the strike broke out with a skeleton crew as the project seeks replacement workers to fill out what was once a roughly 35- to 40-person crew, depending on the day.

The picket line has formed in front of...

What Does Cipher Pol in One Piece Mean?
Image
Cipher Pol Number 9 (CP9) is the first group in One Piece to show how the World Government operates behind the scenes. Unlike the marines, who act on their own sense of justice, Cipher Pol agents follow orders without question. Their job isn’t about justice—it’s about keeping the World Government in power by carrying out their will, and the means don't matter.

Cipher Pol doesn’t answer to the marines, its actually the other way around...the marines can be ordered around by them. These agencies have existed for over 800 years, growing stronger and more ruthless. Whether they’re spying, spreading misinformation, or removing obstacles by force, Cipher Pol operates to keep the system running smoothly — no matter the cost.

After 30 years in the film industry, and featuring in several tentpole releases, Djimon Hounsou says he’s still “struggling financially”
Image
Djimon Hounsou is pulling the curtain back on an injustice in the film industry. After 30 years of entertaining audiences on screens big and small, Hounsou told CNN‘s Larry Madowo he’s “struggling financially,” despite featuring in tentpole films and receiving two Oscar nominations. Commenting on African representation in cinema, Hounsou says, “Yes, quite a bit has changed,” but not enough to keep him from worrying about his future’s stability.

“When I came out with Amistad, I was nominated for a Golden Globe, but they ignored me for the Oscars, talking about the fact that they thought that I had just came off the boat and off the streets where Steven Spielberg used me for this film,” Hounsou told Madowo. “After 30 years, let’s say maybe the first 10 years was really trying to acclimate myself to the industry,” he said. “I’ve been in this business and making films now over two decades,...

Fast & Furious’ Biggest Missed Opportunity Happened 10 Years Ago In The Franchise’s Highest-Grossing Movie
Image
Fast & Furious' highest-grossing movie was a bittersweet time for the franchise, as alongside being one of the saga's best outings, Furious 7 also featured Paul Walker's final appearance. However, despite providing an emotional tribute to one of its most iconic actors and delivering a high-quality movie, Fast & Furious' seventh installment also contained a huge missed opportunity. Unsurprisingly, the ending focused on Dom and Brian's last ride in what was a heartfelt conclusion, but there was still plenty of action involved, with one of Fast & Furious' best villains, Deckard Shaw, being a central part of the story.

As a result, fans wound up loving the blockbuster, as it had all the makings of a classic F&f entry. The high-stakes action, comedic dialog, and ridiculous stunts that Fast & Furious has become synonymous with all combined to make Furious 7 a well-received hit, grossing over $1.5 billion in the process. The Rock’s Fast & Furious Comeback Will Be Very Disappointing If Fast & Furious 11 Does This To Hobbs
Image
Hopefully Fast & Furious 11 avoids this mistake now that Dwayne Johnson has officially returned to the franchise. The Fast & Furious franchise began in 2001, but Johnson didn't appear in the series until 2011's Fast Five. In Fast Five, Johnson played Luke Hobbs, an agent of the Diplomatic Security Service who was tasked with tracking down Dominic Toretto and Brian O'Conner. Even though he was against Dom and Brian at certain points in the movie, Luke Hobbs ultimately ended up working with them.

After the success of Fast Five, Johnson has appeared in five more Fast & Furious movies, including the series' first spinoff film, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. Luke Hobbs has become a very popular Fast & Furious character, but Johnson temporarily left the franchise after a feud with Vin Diesel. After not appearing in F9, Johnson's Luke Hobbs returned in the post-credits scene of Fast X. Now that Hobbs is back in the franchise,...

Fast & Furious Franchise’s Endgame Gets Update From Vin Diesel As He Teases Return Of Dwayne Johnson’s Hobbs: “A Reunion Of That Beautiful Brotherhood”
Image
Fast & Furious star Vin Diesel shares an update on the franchise's plan for an endgame, including how many more movies there will be and Dwayne Johnson's return as Luke Hobbs. After the first installment back in 2001, Diesel returned as Dom Toretto last year for Fast X, the tenth installment in the Fast Saga. Fast X: Part 2 is now confirmed to be on the way (and is seemingly in production) and a Hobbs spinoff movie was announced last year, but it remains unclear just how many more movies there will actually be in the franchise.

Diesel now takes to Instagram to share a new update on the plans for the end of the Fast & Furious franchise, revealing, essentially, that it may not yet be set in stone. According to the star and producer, there's continued interest from Comcast in there being a Fast & Furious 12, in addition to...

Vin Diesel Posts BTS Looks At Fast & Furious 11 Set, Previewing Practical Car Stunts & Lettys Return

Fast X: Part 2 gets a new tease from Vin Diesel, who shares behind-the-scenes looks at the film's practical car stunts and Michelle Rodriguez's return as Letty. After first appearing in the franchise's debut installment in 2001, Diesel returned as Dominic Toretto last year for Louis Leterrier's Fast X. Fast X: Part 2 is now confirmed, and it could potentially be bringing the long-running franchise to an end, with Diesel revealing on Instagram last week that filming for the sequel is now underway.

Diesel now shares two new behind-the-scenes looks at Fast X: Part 2, teasing the kind of practical car stunts audiences can expect and Letty getting back behind the wheel. The first post is a short video that captures crew members and Leterrier next to a car-mounted camera rig before the shot then pans to catch a muscle car skidding to a stop on a city street. Christopher Nolan Has Already Spent Over $30 Million on His Next Movie If You Consider Stars’ Recent Payouts After Charlize Theron Joins the Cast
Image
Christopher Nolan is assembling the best among the Hollywood actors for his next film after Oppenheimer. The filmmaker’s Oscar glory attracted many mainstream names to his next project, which is a second collaboration between Nolan and Universal Pictures. Charlize Theron is reportedly the latest A-lister to join the film, raising the bar for the new Nolan project.

When the film was first announced, Matt Damon, who starred in a supporting role in Oppenheimer, was one of the first casting decisions to come out. More actors are reportedly being cast in the film, including, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, and Lupita Nyong’o. The salaries of these actors alone make the Nolan film a costly affair.

Charlize Theron Joins Stacked Cast of Christopher Nolan's New Movie
Image
It's starting to feel like there aren't any other stars left to cast in Christopher Nolan's next film. The director's first project after his Academy Award-winning film, Oppenheimer, may still be mysterious in so many ways, but its cast is decidedly not, having added Charlize Theron to a laundry list of big-name stars.

The plot is completely unknown at this point, according to The Hollywood Reporter, with some outlets reporting that any genre and/or storyline rumors are unfounded, but with new cast member announcements being rolled out every few days, it feels like only a matter of time before we learn more.

First, we learned about the casting of Matt Damon. Then we heard about Tom Holland joining the cast. After that, Holland's girlfriend Zendaya, and Anne Hathaway joined the fold. And in the last few days we heard about Lupita Nyong'o and Robert Pattinson coming on board the film,...

Charlize Theron Joins Christopher Nolan’s Next Film at Universal
Image
Charlize Theron is the latest bold-faced name to join the cast of Christopher Nolan’s upcoming movie at Universal.

The Oscar winner joins a star-studded ensemble that includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o and Robert Pattinson. Details about the highly-anticipated film’s plot remain tightly under wraps and sources tell Variety that loglines or descriptions of the film that have been published to date are not correct.

Universal had no comment on the casting news.

The studio and Nolan’s follow-up to their Oscar-winning drama “Oppenheimer” is projecting a production start date sometime in the first half of 2025. Universal has set a July 17, 2026 theatrical release date for the feature, along with a dedicated rollout in Imax auditoriums.

Though the film marks Nolan and Theron’s first collaboration, Theron has a long history with Universal, after starring in action-thriller “Atomic Blonde” (for specialty label Focus Features), the...

Vin Diesel Seemingly Confirms Fast & Furious 11 Filming With Set Photo After Conflicting Updates
Image
Fast X: Part 2 seemingly gets a new update from Vin Diesel, with a set photo suggesting that filming on the sequel has now begun. After the Fast X cliffhanger ending in 2023, the long-running Fast & Furious franchise is expected to continue with an additional installment, which might be the last for Diesel and the rest of the Fast Saga crew. Fast X: Part 2 filming has previously been reported to be getting underway in early 2025, but Mia Toretto actor Jordana Brewster recently revealed to Screen Rant that she doesn't know what the sequel's filming timeline is.

Diesel now takes to Instagram to share a new set photo, seemingly from Fast X: Part 2. The photo shows a black Chevy Chevelle, a car that Dom has driven in previous installments, driving between another classic car and a camera vehicle. Jason Statham's Return to The Fast & the Furious Lands New Streaming Home

With the holidays fast approaching, the subject of family comes up a lot, and in the world of Hollywood, perhaps no other franchise embodies the meaning of family more than The Fast and the Furious. Since 2001, the saga has shown time and time again that you dont have to be blood to be welcomed into Doms world, and in the case of Jason Stathams character of Deckard Shaw, you can go from being a heated rival to having a seat at the Toretto table if you prove yourself worthy. Statham made his first appearance in the series back in 2013s Fast & Furious 6, and has been a mainstay in the franchise ever since, with his latest appearance being in last years Fast X, which lands a new streaming home later this month.

Image
Fast & Furious 11, also known as Fast X: Part 2, has just received an update. Unfortunately for fans, the update from Mia Toretto actor Jordana Brewster will leave them with more questions than answers.

During a recent interview with Screen Rant, Brewster was asked if she knew when production would commence on Fast & Furious 11, which is set to pick up directly after the cliffhanger ending of 2023's Fast X. Unfortunately, the actor had not received a definitive start date yet. However, she hoped that one would be coming her way soon. "I don't have a timeline. I'm usually I mean, I'll probably read it online, or I'll try to, try to get some information out of Vin," she said with a laugh. "But, no, I don't know yet. But hopefully soon."

Fast & Furious 11 Is All But Sure To Break A Fast Saga Record After Fast X's Cliffhanger Ending
Image
With so many storylines and character arcs to wrap up after Fast Xs open-ended finale, Fast & Furious 11 is all but guaranteed to become the franchises longest entry. Fast Xs Louis Leterrier is back in the directors chair for Fast 11, and Christina Hodson and Oren Uziel are confirmed to be writing the script. Although Vin Diesel initially announced that Fast 11 would be released in 2025, its since been delayed to 2026 due to the 2023 strikes but its still on the way, and it promises to follow up on the cliffhanger ending of Fast X.

There have been all kinds of enticing reports about Fast 11. It could be the final chapter in the mainline series, and its being described as a throwback to the original movie with a single mission and a new villain. With so many plot threads still up in the air and so many character journeys to conclude, Fast 11 could end...

Forget Hobbs & Shaw 2, This Is The Jason Statham Fast & Furious Spinoff That Should Happen
Image
Jason Statham has been in five Fast and Furious movies already, but the best possible Shaw spinoff has yet to happen. After going after Dominic Toretto and his family in Furious 7 to avenge what was done to his brother in the previous film, Deckard Shaw returned as an ally in The Fate of the Furious. Shaw joined Dwayne Johnsons Luke Hobbs as another Fast and Furious villain who was redeemed and got to join the family, although accepting Stathams character as one of the good guys was not easy given that he had presumably killed Han.

Shaws redemption in The Fate of the Furious was highly controversial, especially because Hans death would only be retconned in F9.

Regardless, Shaw being redeemed allowed Fast and Furious to explore a new pairing that stole the show in The Fate of the Furious Hobbs and Shaw. Amidst Dwayne Johnsons public feud with...

“She’s also easy to hate”: Charlize Theron’s Aura Was Wasted in Fast and Furious Franchise With an Awfully Written Female Villain For Vin Diesel’s Family
Image
Over the years, Charlize Theron has proven to be a powerful talent, known for her versatility and the depth she brings to her roles. From intense dramas to action-packed blockbusters, the actress has repeatedly shown the world that she can embody many characters with finesse. However, her portrayal of Cipher in the Fast and Furious franchise raised a lot of questions about the handling of female villains in major film series, particularly how her aura and talent feel underutilized in a narrative dominated by male-centric themes.

Brie Larsons Tess Is Even More Important To Fast & Furious Than You Thought
Image
Brie Larson made her Fast & Furious debut in 2023's Fast X, and while the film hinted at her character being an important addition, she may be even more crucial to the franchise than you realize. The Oscar-winning actress has been part of some huge movies throughout her career, making her involvement in the franchise feel like a big deal, which was only amplified when Fast X revealed that Tess is Mr. Nobody's daughter. However, despite her character's connections to one of Fast & Furious' most significant figures, Larson's Fast X appearance didn't quite show Tess' full potential.

Given the movie focused predominantly on Dom and Dante's feud alongside setting up the saga's final outing, Tess only appeared on a handful of occasions. She still left a big impression, but Fast X left us wanting more of the character. Sadly, with Fast & Furious 11 ending the franchise's main story,...

"Family No More": How Fast & Furious Wasted Its Perfect Toretto Family Civil War
Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, and Paul Walker in Rápidos y furiosos (2009)
The Fate of the Furious teased a Toretto family civil war, but it ended up wasting the Fast & Furious franchises best storytelling opportunity on a predictable blackmail storyline. Theres a case to be made that the Fast & Furious series shouldve ended with Furious 7. Furious 7 was retooled into a tribute to Paul Walker when the actor sadly passed away during filming. The final scene of Dom and Brian having one last street race before Brian takes an exit and leaves Dom behind wouldve been the perfect ending to this epic saga.

But since Universal wanted to keep making money, it kept making Fast & Furious movies. The Fate of the Furious was teased as the highest-stakes chapter yet. The Boys: Every Upcoming Spinoff Explained
Image
The Boys franchise is expanding with spin-offs, including Gen V, The Boys: Mexico, and Vought Rising, promising a bright future for the series. Gen V season 2, set to release in 2025, will continue the story with new faces and intriguing plot developments, keeping audience interest. Vought Rising, the first prequel spin-off, will delve into the origins of Vought International in the 1950s, introducing new and familiar characters.

With many exciting spin-offs lined up for The Boys, it is hard not to be excited about the franchise's future. As Eric Kripke has confirmed, The Boys season 5 will likely end the parent series of the franchise. However, as the planned upcoming spin-offs for The Boys suggest, the live-action superhero franchise is not ending anytime soon. It makes sense that Amazon is investing more in expanding The Boys' lore through spin-offs and prequels because the franchise, so far, has been both a critical and commercial hit.

Charlize Theron Shares Exciting Update on The Old Guard 2
Image
The Old Guard 2 finally gets a new and encouraging progress update from star Charlize Theron. The Oscar-winning actor suggests the film may still see the light of day after news of the sequel's release went dark.

Speaking with Variety at a charity event, Theron revealed that The Old Guard sequel, which wrapped principal photography in 2022, faced a lengthy delay due partly to Netflix's changing leadership structure. Coupled with the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, The Old Guard 2's post-production process faced multiple issues. Netflix went through quite a changeover, Theron said. We got kind of stuck in that and our post-production shut down, I think, five weeks into it.
