Joji: Slow Dancing in the Dark

The video reminds the hunt of satyr motif. The arrow reminds the work of Cupid, in this case, with tragic result. The lyrics are portrait of a falling love story. And Joji prooves, again, be one of rare artists , proposing to his public not exactly a good song, but exploration of their memories, emotions and dark traces.

I am only giving this video a 9 instead of a ten because of the direction it took that I wasn't expecting. A couple of the shots are weird and don't really fit the vibe I think. But other than that the song is incredible and the video is beautiful. He really sold the idea that he's hurting throughout the 3 minute run time. It's absolutely wild how he pulled this off with the help of 88Rising. I also wanted to mention how hard this must've been to make especially for a music video, with a good amount of props/costume designs. I'd imagine that this didn't have a large budget either. Either way this will go down in music video history as well as music history itself. Absolutely amazing.
