Cleo's tirade leads to a protest on the Fear Squad. Will they still make it to Gloom Beach?

Cleo De Nle and Ghoulia Yelps have organized cheer-leading tryouts, but there are no volunteers for the team. Cleo is about to despair. Frankie Stein, the only other team member, decides to recruit new members on her own. Most girls refuse to join, in fear of Cleo's perfectionist reputation. Lagoona Blue is unavailable, since she just became the new captain of the swimming team. Elsewhere, Heath Burns is pestering Draculaura with requests for a date. She eventually agrees, though she is not enthusiastic about it. Frankie questions Draculaura about what she seeks in an ideal boyfriend, and then notices that the werewolf Clawd Wolf meets all the criteria. Frankie convinces Draculaura to date him, and then slyly adds that joining the cheer-leading team would be a way to attract his attention. Draculaura agrees to join, despite her dislike of Cleo. Clawdeen Wolf rejects the idea of ever helping Cleo, but Frankie uses Clawdeen's loyalty to their friendship to get her to join. Cleo is overjoyed to hear that the squad now has four members. But she decides against mellowing out, and insists on a strict practice schedule. Frankie worries about the reaction of her two recruits.

Cleo De Nile has managed to sufficiently train her rookie cheerleaders into performing advanced stunts, but they still make glaring mistakes. Cleo decides that they need more practice. She orders Frankie Stein, Draculaura, and Clawdeen Wolf to cheer at every available school event. This leads to a number of accidents. Their cheering at a chess game distracts the players, and provokes a zombie attack. Cheering at a swimming contest ends with Frankie falling into the swimming pool and accidentally electrocuting the swimmers. Cheering at a debate contest and constantly interrupting the school's debate team causes the team's defeat. In a basketball game, Draculaura wants to perform a pyramid with the squad, in order to impress Clawd Wolf. She performs well, until she notices blood sausages. She is afraid of blood, and faints into Clawd's arms. She accidentally causes the school team's defeat in the game, and the crowd is booing the cheerleaders. Shortly later, Draculaura is crying alone, but her love interest Heath Burn is teasing her about her humiliation. Clawd intimidates Heath into giving up on his next date with Draculaura, as he wants to date her instead. Draculaura is happy, since she likes Clawd. But she is next confronted by the angry Clawdeen, who does not want her best friend to date her brother. Cleo despairs at her team's poor performance. She then receives a text message about making contact with Scary Murphy, though it is unclear if this is a promise or a threat.
