According to reports, the streaming platform, Netflix, is planning a reboot of the classic series with a revised version of the books.

Showrunner, Rebecca Sonnenshine, commented on the Little House reboot by stating that she fell in love with the Laura Ingalls Wilder books when she was 5, and they inspired her to become both a filmmaker and writer.

Sonnenshine adds that she is both thrilled and honored to be a part of adapting the series for a new audience.

Hallmark’s 2025 Loveuary programming includes Return To Office. This February romcom stars Pretty Little Liars alum Janel Parrish, and Scott Michael Foster. However, there is more to look forward to in the network’s Loveuary 2025 programming event. There are four new rom-coms and one mystery coming in February this year.

The New Year is here and while it is still January, Hallmark has released details of four new, original rom-coms, along with one new Hannah Swenson mystery. Here, fans can enjoy some of their favorite Hallmark stars, including Lacey Chabert, Rachael Leigh Cook, Robert Buckley, Janel Parrish and more.

Lionsgate Television finally unveiled the 4K, Blu-ray and DVD release date for Dune: Prophecy, which had just wrapped up its six-episode first season. The sci-fi prequel is led by Emily Watson as Mother Superior Valya Harkonnen and Olivia Williams as Reverend Mother Tula Harkonnen.

Dune fans will now have a chance to purchase their own copy of HBO’s latest epic drama Dune: Prophecy, once Season 1 officially arrives on 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD. According to Collider, the two-disc set of Dune: Prophecy Season 1 will be available to buy starting on April 15, 2025, for the suggested retail prices of 4K - $29.95, Blu-ray - $24.95, and $19.95 - DVD. At the moment, Lionsgate has yet to release the special features that will be included in its physical release. Since making its debut, the show has received positive reviews from critics, with a Tomatometer score of 70% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 85 reviews.

Denis Villeneuve's Dune: Part II leaves things on an ominous note and sees Paul Atreides (Timothee Chalamet) being reborn after taking the Water of Life. It's not hard to see that he's a changed man, who's taking advantage of Bene Gesserit's planted prophecy of Arrakis, assuming the leadership position. Things are starting to get really interesting, but before Dune 3 comes back, HBO's Dune: Prophecy taps into the same world in Villeneuve's Dune, but in the past. Partially based on Frank Herbert's world and Brian Herbert's Sisterhood of Dune, the prequel series takes place about 10,000 years before Paul Atreides.

It feels nice to be back in the familiar world. There's a lot of hype around the prequel series, and I have to admit that Dune: Prophecy does a very good job of matching the tone and vibe of Villeneuve's Dune.

The HBO series is set 10,000 years before the movie’s events and follows the establishment of The Sisterhood. The show revolves around sisters Valya and Tula Harkonnen, who form the Bene Gesserit sect, which eventually rises to power. Dune: Prophecy is going to feature only six episodes. The show premieres on HBO on November 17th, 2024, and will release one episode weekly every Sunday. All the episodes will air at 9 Pm Et. Just four years ago, when Max was still called HBO Max and Max Originals were still a thing, the nascent streaming platform released its first sprawling, strange, science-fiction epic “Raised by Wolves.” The first two episodes were directed by film legend Ridley Scott. The story balanced timeless questions about the nature of humanity and the trappings of faith with creepy space monsters and bloody battle scenes. The budget was sizable enough to shoot in South Africa and accommodate 3,700 VFX shots. By all measures, “Raised by Wolves” was set up to be a hit.

Instead, it was canceled after two seasons and wiped off the platform it was meant to help put on the map. Thus is the age in which we live, where art that doesn’t hit its quotas is made to seem like it never happened, but that only makes the arrival of “Dune: Prophecy” that much more peculiar.

Unlike Denis Villeneuve’s Dune movies, which are relatively faithful adaptations of the books, Dune: Prophecy is a foray into Dune lore.

The former has a ton of written material to rely on, while the latter relies on secondary exposition and Frank Herbert’s world-building machinations.

The Bene Gesserit are part of a much larger whole, though their direct role in the events of Dune and the succeeding books is integral and extensive.

Regardless of what anyone thinks of Dune (beneath the immense worldbuilding is a simple and straightforward premise), Dune: Prophecy has the advantage of disengagement from the core.

This is both good and bad because it opens up a window of creative opportunity but retains just enough association that it runs the risk of seriously pissing off the Dune faithful.

Today at New York Comic-Con, HBO released a shiny new trailer for Dune: Prophecy, a spinoff of its hugely successful Dune movie franchise from Denis Villeneuve. Dune: Prophecy star Emily Watson shared what makes the upcoming HBO series different from other epic sci-fi franchises. This marks Watsons first major TV project as the lead, after previously starring as a recurring character in multiple shows, including Little Women, Chernobyl, The Third Day, and Too Close.

During a recent interview with Total Film, Watson teased what Dune fans can expect to see from the prequel series. "Its built around the Bene Gesserit order. Thats the sisterhood," Watson said. "Thats one of the central characters in it, and all the universes that they control, and their power its kind of fascinating."

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is the longest-running sitcom on Indian Television. The show has witnessed many changes, good and bad, but fans continue to pour love in the form of viewership to date.
