First review after watching series for 20+ years!

Tomorrow and I is a masterpiece that seamlessly blends compelling storytelling with profound emotional depth. This series captures the essence of human resilience, tackling themes of love, loss, and self-discovery in a way that resonates deeply with viewers.

The characters are beautifully fleshed out, each carrying their own burdens yet striving for redemption in ways that feel authentic and relatable. The writing is poignant, often striking a perfect balance between heartwarming moments and powerful, thought-provoking drama.

Visually, the series is stunning, with cinematography that brings its world to life and enhances its emotional impact. The performances are equally commendable, with the cast delivering nuanced portrayals that make their journeys all the more immersive.

Tomorrow and I isn't just a series; it's an experience. It leaves you reflecting on your own path and cherishing the beauty of perseverance. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a show that inspires and uplifts while telling a captivating story.

Like early Black Mirror

I really really enjoyed this; it has the heart warming on some parts of the episode, and the encouragement of reflection on your own values too when something feels not right, and all the right amount of shivers too! To me this is a lot like the early black mirror episodes (where the first few seasons with a few outliner episodes later on, were much better and far more chilling than the later stuff with less surprising story writing). This was a pleasant surprise to find and it's a shame it wasn't pushed more by Netflix in the UK. So I recommend it! Especially if you do like black mirror and don't mind dubbed voices. Easily 7 out of 10 for me. Ideal for sci-fi fans.

There's someone you left out of the shows' credits

AN EDITOR. Someone with a pair of scissors to chop the length of these shows down by about half. Having never seen a Thai-produced series before, I have no idea if this is standard for Thai TV, but for the love of all things holy, EDIT these goddamn shows!

When you belabour a point, its impact is totally lost, and what might have been a poignant moment ends up feeling like you're being beaten with the soggy end over and over again.

Other than that, it's fine. It's no Black Mirror, but not many people have the writing chops of Charlie Brooker, so we can't hold that against them. Some quality visual effects, but you know... only so much lipstick you can put on a pig.

Way too long

These stories are interesting, but all episodes have pacing issues and could have used some serious editing. They drag on and on forever. The plots of this anthology series have the potential to be thought-provoking, but I had a difficult time sitting through them. For me, there were quite a few "wait there's more???" moments throughout the viewing. Some of the dialogue also sounds really weird and unnatural in Thai, and a lot of the acting doesn't seem to come from a genuine place. The whole thing is a commendable effort with the attempt to create an Asian version of Black Mirror, but it appears to be half-baked and could have used some polishing and tightening up.

4 stories that are too long

Greetings from the other side.

This series is the Thai version of Black Mirror. Short stories with a sci-fi twist. There are four stories here, and each are interesting.

However, my big issue with them, is that they were way too long. They dragged it out so much that it was very boring in parts.

The special effects were top notch, and the stories leave you thinking about them. There are usually good and bad reasons for just about every idea.

Again, the stories are just too long. They are almost full length movies, and that causes many boring sections.

In the future, I would recommend making each episode 30 or 40 minutes tops, and add more episodes.

Oh, and these are dubbed, but I didn't notice after a time.

Anyways, I enjoyed the episodes, but felt they were too long for my taste.

Thought provoking

I'm very pleasantly surprised by this Thai scifi drama series. Both the acting, writing, and production value are too notch.

The show explore various social and moral issues that are present in the real world and also in a what-if scenario when our technology brings said issues to the next level. The show explore these issues in all angles in a quite objective way and states arguments of both sides objectively. Unlike most recent Western shows that tend to take a preconceived stance to begin with.

The pacing of the show is on a slow side with deliberate long pauses throughout. This might be a cultural choice which might not sit well for the Western audience's fast-food-way of tv consumption. But be patient and let each scene sink-in. It's we'll worth the time.

The Cinematic Equivalent of a Blank Page

Neither funny, nor scary, nor clever. The film leans heavily on flashy special effects, but they can't disguise its glaring lack of substance. Overly long, hollow, and utterly pointless-a complete waste of time.

The pacing drags unbearably, with scenes that seem to go nowhere. Key moments, which should have been thrilling or emotional, are instead clumsily executed, leaving no impact. The characters are flat, one-dimensional, and impossible to care about, while the dialogue feels forced and uninspired. The series tries to blend humor, drama, and suspense but fails miserably at all three. What's left is a shallow, overproduced spectacle with no heart or meaning. Avoid it.

Really good

I loved this show and the strong focus on human relationships rather than technological advancements themselves! The topics chosen for each episode were excellent, especially because they didn't focus solely on the main subject. Instead, they explored a range of themes and the complexities of human relationships with these issues-such as religion, technology, ethics, power, and emotions.

I felt like certain episodes could have been a bit longer rather than shorter, because there is so much depth to some characters and stories... Maybe they could have focused on fewer scenes that truly developed the story-showing ulterior motives, decision-making, and the resolution of events-rather than including extra scenes that don't necessarily do that. Some of these, left me with too many unanswered questions or too many possible interpretations (maybe that was intentional-similar to real life, where you may never fully see or understand the truth or people's true intentions).

Overall, it was an amazing experience. It would be incredible if the show continues and evolves even further!

Writing this instead of watching

Already been said a few times, but these episodes were too long. The first on dragged on forever and was pretty boring. Could have cut it down significantly and told the same story. The second was not particularly engaging either. Plot done in the first 5 minutes, now show me the rest of the story. Third and fourth, much better, but still to long. Get these to 40 minutes please. Much closer to success.

Expect the usual inserted politics too. It really drags you out of the immersion. It's such a shame entertainment is not past this, but there you go, 2020.

All together, a good attempt to replicate something better (Black Mirror). But gee, it was a slog at times. Give it a go, you've been warned though.
