- Maddie Wachowski: [Sonic has become Super Sonic they both run up to him] Sonic!
- Tom Wachowski: Buddy.
- Knuckles the Echidna: Wait, you cannot touch him! The hedgehog holds the power of the Emerald. I am sorry, he is no longer the Sonic you once knew.
- Maddie Wachowski: What?
- Sonic the Hedgehog: [uses his power to summon a Chili Dog from the sky. Eating a chilli dog] Mmm, you gotta try this!
- [snaps his fingers another chili dog lands on Knuckles]
- Knuckles the Echidna: [with two sausages and tomato sauce on his eyes; annoyed] Okay. He is exactly the Sonic you once knew.
- [a hot dog bun lands on Knuckles' head]
- [undercover agents lock Sonic and Tails in cages]
- Tom Wachowski: No. Hey, no! Let him go!
- [runs up to Sonic's cage, punches an agent and tries to open the cage door]
- Tom Wachowski: Sonic, hang on.
- [Randall subdues him]
- Randall Handal: Take it easy. It's not worth it.
- Maddie Wachowski: [steps forward] Tom!
- Commander Walters: [blocks her way] Ah-ah-ah.
- Maddie Wachowski: Sonic is not a threat! He's on our side!
- Commander Walters: He's an uncontrolled extraterrestrial. And your days of aiding and abetting him are over.
- [turns to his agents]
- Commander Walters: Secure them in the hotel until the chopper arrives.
- [they take Sonic, Tails and Tom away]
- Tom Wachowski: You're making a mistake.
- Rachel: Hold on, Major A-hole! This is still my day, and *someone* is gonna explain to me *what* the hell is going on here!
- Commander Walters: After the events in San Francisco, a global task force was created, devoted to protecting our planet from alien threats. That day, Guardian Units of Nations was born.
- Rachel: G-U-N? Seriously?
- Commander Walters: GUN, yeah.
- Maddie Wachowski: What about protecting our planet from Dr. Robotnik?
- Commander Walters: Robotnik is dead.
- Maddie Wachowski: You're wrong. He's back! And you just hauled away the only ones who could stop him.
- Commander Walters: [pulls out a walkie-talkie and turns away] Sounds like Robotnik might be back in play. If he is, I want him found *immediately*.
- [looks at Maddie, then walks off]
- Commander Walters: And cancel my 5:00 at the Olive Garden.
- Jojo: Aunt Maddie?
- Maddie Wachowski: Yeah?
- Jojo: Sonic and his friend dropped this.
- [gives Maddie a yellow backpack; inside is a collection of illuminated gadgets]
- Maddie Wachowski: [turns to Rachel] I have an idea.
- Rachel: And I want to have a word with my fiancé, and that word is "murder."
- [Sonic, Tom and Maddie tend to an unconcious Tails in the outside reception area; out at sea, a glowing green beam of light flares into the sky; Commander Walters is gagged and tied to a chair]
- Tom Wachowski: Sonic... what is that?
- Sonic the Hedgehog: A big problem. The compass led Robotnik to the Emerald.
- Maddie Wachowski: That's gotta be hundreds of miles away.
- Tom Wachowski: All right. Huddle up. Let's figure out a plan.
- [to Sonic]
- Tom Wachowski: Together.
- Sonic the Hedgehog: [starts walking away] There's no time for that. I'm the only one that can get there fast enough.
- Maddie Wachowski: Sonic, this is way too big for you to do by yourself.
- Sonic the Hedgehog: [turns back and indicates Tails] You see that little fox over there? He came all the way across the universe to meet his hero, and what did his hero do? I practically got him killed.
- [to Tom]
- Sonic the Hedgehog: You know what? You were right. My moment came, and I blew it. I'm no hero.
- Tom Wachowski: Wait.
- Sonic the Hedgehog: No. I'm not letting anyone else get hurt because of me. I'm gonna fix this while I still can.
- [races off into the distance]
- Tom Wachowski: Sonic!
- [Tails wakes up]
- Miles "Tails" Prower: [gasps] Sonic, wait!
- [tries to fly, but falls on his face and groans; Tom and Maddie rush to his side]
- Maddie Wachowski: Hold on, wait.
- Tom Wachowski: Hey, hey, hey.
- Maddie Wachowski: Don't move.
- Tom Wachowski: Take it easy, little guy. You're hurt.
- Miles "Tails" Prower: But we have to help him. You don't know what he's up against.
- [on the horizon, the green light glows brighter; Commander Walters watches from his chair]
- Tom Wachowski: You believe us now?
- Commander Walters: [nods sheepishly] Mmm-hmm.
- Tom Wachowski: Sonic!
- Maddie Wachowski: What's happening? Are you hurt?
- Sonic the Hedgehog: No, no, I'm fine.
- Tom Wachowski: Okay, good. BECAUSE YOU'RE IN SO MUCH TROUBLE!
- Maddie Wachowski: Okay, you calm down!
- [turns to Sonic]
- Maddie Wachowski: *You* talk!
- Sonic the Hedgehog: Okay, quick version. Robotnik is back on Earth, and he's after a magic emerald. We need to get it back or the world is doomed!
