Following Amazon’s surprise (and concerning) takeover of the James Bond franchise, each day since seems to be bringing with it some exciting new information. Now, while we await confirmation of which actor will be chosen as the next 007, it seems that a multi-Oscar-winning filmmaker has now revealed he is in talks to take the reins of the reboot as director.

During a recent appearance at the Paris Cinéma Club, Gravity and Children of Men director Alfonso Cuarón confirmed (though coyly) that he is in talks to helm Amazon’s James Bond reboot. Coming courtesy of X/Twitter user @Simon___Robert, Cuarón, who has won several Academy Awards, among others, for the sci-fi thriller Gravity and the historical drama Roma, as well as receiving acclaim for the likes ofY Tu Mamá También, Children of Men, and more, heavily alluded to his potential involvement, saying:
