Arnold, a character who initially faked his death, returns with an unpredictable, chaotic energy that stands in stark contrast to Gering’s more methodical alter ego, Rafe.

When asked about his character’s return, Gering was clearly thrilled. “I had no idea Arnold would come back,” he admits to Soap Opera Digest. “The guy had died, after all! But it was such a thrill to revisit the role and see how we could make him more extreme.”

Gone is the subtle character of the past; in his place is a more ridiculous, over-the-top Arnold that Gering can’t help but have fun with. “People on set were like, ‘Oh my God. You’re having a blast!’ And I totally was.”
