Sculk Catalyst is an active block in Minecraft capable of using the essence of the dead to convert other blocks surrounding it into Sculk variants. More specifically, Minecraft's Sculk Catalyst will consume the Experience dropped from any mob that died within an 8-block radius, including the player. When an entity, such as a Sheep or Zombie, dies within this 8-block range, the Sculk Catalyst will transform the blocks near the splash of Experience orbs into Sculk-type blocks, including basic Sculk, Sculk Sensors, Sculk Shriekers, and Sculk Veins.

If a Sculk Catalyst attempts to convert a block that cannot be turned into Sculk, it will instead be covered with Sculk Veins. Whenever Sculk Blocks are generated from a catalyst, there's a 9 chance it will be a Sculk Shrieker and a 1 chance it will become a Sculk Sensor. However,...
