Eric Hebborn

Artist, art historian specializing in the Italian Renaissance, art restorer, and art forger. He became famous for creating (or claiming to have created) numerous drawings in the style of notable artists of the 16th century.
He claimed to have forged over 1000 drawings and sketches by famous artists including Rubens, Van Dyck, Piranesi and Brueghel.
His death in 1996 is the source of much conjecture. He is thought to have been murdered.
