A deformed man living with his mother in the countryside roams the woods killing indiscriminately. A couple spend the night nearby, and the wife goes through a nightmarish experience involving a black horse, a mummy, and the deformed man.
DirectorBernard LaunoisReparto principalVéronique RenaudMarcel PortierCatherine Day
Wow! Devil Story (1986), is definitely a leading contender for the worst movie ever made. If you can find this film in its original French language with English subtitles, it might ease some of the pain, caused by this extraordinarily bad film. The English dubbing made it brutally ridiculous. I was blown-over, by how bad Devil Story (1986), was. Look, I get independent film. I get student film. I get low-budget film. Some of my favorite guilty-pleasure movies, fall under these categories, but Wow! Devil Story (1986), is brutal in its design, but if you like really bad make-up effects and mindless repeat-cuts, of extra footage shot to fill time, than this is the film for you.

En la antigua Pompeya, los esclavos son comprados y vendidos para tareas domésticas y sexo. Una misteriosa reina se mueve entre la élite, mientras ayuda en secreto a los esclavos a escapar.
DirectorChuck VincentReparto principalSybil DanningDonald PleasenceRick Hill
Warrior Queen (1987), is a mess. These people can't even kiss correctly on camera, let alone have a sword fight, throw a believable kick or deliver a line of dialogue (there isn't a lot of dialogue by the way and many scenes, go by the screen speechless). Donald Pleasence, on break from the Halloween movies, gives probably his worst performance ever. The rest of the cast moves around like mindless zombies. Why Donald chose to do this movie is anybody's guess. I'm going with, he got a free trip to Italy in exchange for being in this. Perfect incentive.

When your film is more embarrassing then Plan 9 From Outer Space (1957), or Roger Corman's Sorceress (1982), you have achieved a goal like none other. Wow! Warrior Queen (1987), is bad. If it wasn't for the, somewhat, positive attempts at costumes, maybe a punch or two, that looked believable and a finale, which looked like they spent their last couple hundred bucks on the volcano scene (I have no idea what they spent on the volcano scene, but I think, I can even afford it), this would be a total loss for the night. I wouldn't even worry about historical accuracy. Let's get past any hope for accuracy first and just move on. Oh, and you thought, Sybil Danning couldn't be in a worse movie than the direct-to-video, Howling II (1985)?

On the heels of the release of Conan the Barbarian (1982) and The Beastmaster (1982), Roger Corman was able to produce the first of a ten film picture deal, he made in Argentina, by first releasing this ridiculously, embarrassing movie. The sword and sorcerer sub-genre was at full blast in the early 1980s, because of Conan and Beastmaster, so Corman knew he could cash in, at this time and use the sub-genre, while it was still hot. That is the only reason why Deathstalker (1983), was a commercial success.

Deathstalker (1983), is a disjointed mess, with poor special effects, bad acting and no direction at all. I couldn't tell if the film wanted to be serious or was trying to be funny. Deathstalker, the guy, is no hero really. He is not the kind of anti-hero you want to root for either. Roger Corman was a marketing and distributing genius. He knew when the right time was to spring Deathstalker (1983), onto the public. I only hope the 1983 movie-going audience, was as happy coming out of the theater, as they were going in. I think I would have been amused.
