It was never going to end well for Cruz, so he came clean. In the episode "Chaos Theory," the veteran firefighter approached Severide and admitted to the incident that led to him shot. He admitted he let a man named Flaco (Jose Antonio Garcia) die during a building fire in season 1, because the man had threatened his brother. This piece of blackmail was why he agreed to help with the robbery.

There was some scheduling confusion last week, and a slight delay, but the show is off to the races with a thrilling new episode and a crossover set for the end of the month. There's a lot to address in "Chaos Theory," from Stella Kidd's absence to Joe Cruz's fate after what happened in the winter premiere.

Cruz has a lot to clean up in the episode's opening moments. He drives to his brother's house and gets stitched up after he got shot in the winter premiere. Cruz's gut reaction was to go to the police, but his brother insisted that he keep it under wraps, as he fears gang retaliation. Leon's ties to the Insane Kings was what got Cruz involved in this mess in the first place.

All roads lead to the One Chicago crossover. The franchise is staging its first three part storyline since 2019, which will bring together the casts of Chicago Fire, Chicago Med and Chicago Pd for a major disaster. One character who is already on the brink of disaster, though, is Cruz (Joe Minoso).

The One Chicago franchise has really planted its flag on Wednesday nights. The franchise has been filling the primetime evening block for over ten years, and does not show any signs of slowing down. Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago Pd were missing in action during the last week of November, which has led many fans to question when they will be returning with new episodes.

Unfortunately, the answer is not anytime soon. There are no new episodes of Med, Fire or Pd on Wednesday, December 4. In fact, there won't be new episodes for over a month. The franchise is taking the duration of December off, and will be returning on Wednesday, January 8.

He's one of the most beloved Chicago Fire veterans as a result. The thing is, Cruz is not a boy scout. He has some skeletons in his closet, and we were just reminded of one in the season 13 fall finale.

He'd never met Junior, but the ex-convict claimed that he was present during a particularly dangerous fire that took place during the show's first season. Even though Lieutenant Christopher Herrmann has been a main character in Chicago Fire since the beginning, he has been mysteriously missing in season 13 for two consecutive episodes now, making viewers concerned about his whereabouts. They need to take down Bishop. Realizing that he is a dirty cop and is involved in an arson case, they need to find a way to prove it and put him away. Of course, Bishop has people on his side, and he will do whatever it takes to prevent himself from getting cause.

Chinese crime actioner, “Go for Broke” (aka “Chong Sheng”) earned RMB35.4 million ($5.0 million) between Friday and Sunday, according to data from consultancy firm Artisan Gateway. That lifted it to first place in its fourth weekend of release and gives it a cumulative of $53.4 million.

“Alien Romulus,” which had topped the chart for the previous three weeks, fell to second place. It earned $4.5 million and became only the second Hollywood import title this year to earn more than $100 million in Chinese theaters (Behind “Godzilla x Kong”).

“How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies,” the Thai-produced comedy drama, saw its week-on-week takings decline, but its chart rank improve. The film earned RMB18 million ($2.5 million) in third place, compared with $3.3 million and fifth place a week earlier. Since releasing in China on Aug.

“Alien: Romulus” has become Hollywood’s second biggest film of the year at the mainland China box office, following a strong second weekend hold.

The film picked up RMB140 million ($19.7 million) between Friday and Sunday in China, according to data from consultancy firm Artisan Gateway. That compares favorably with its $26.2 million opening weekend and gives it a cumulative of RMB523 ($73.7 million) since releasing on Aug. 16.

Among Hollywood import titles in 2024, the running total is beaten only by (Chinese-backed) “Godzilla v Kong” which amassed $134 million.

In less than two weeks, “Alien” has jumped ahead of a cluster of Hollywood’s other franchise titles and the $50 million ceiling that most have been stuck beneath. “Kung Fu Panda 4” earned $52 million in China. “Despicable Me 4” earned $56 million. “Dune 2” earned $49.7 million. “Inside Out 2” earned $48 million.

Captivating the King is an upcoming internationally licensed South Korean historical romantic drama series. The series is directed by Jo Nam Gook, who previously directed both seasons of The Good Detective, Untouchable and Fast. Kim Sung Deok is the screenwriter of the series and his first series in five years after previously writing The Crowned Clown.
