Little Simz has dropped new song “Young,” the latest offering from her upcoming album, Lotus, out June 6th via Awal Recordings. Stream it below.

“Young” takes a left turn from previous singles “Free” and “Flood” (the latter of which was named Song of the Week) by showing a playful side of Simz, who delivers cheeky bars about the folly of youth.

Like “Flood,” “Young” was produced by Miles Clinton James. According to a press release, the dichotomy of the singles demonstrates “the scope and breadth of Lotus, and the shifting moods that take the listener on an expansive journey.” Among fans, “Young” has drawn comparisons to UK alternative hip-hop and electronic artist The Streets, who is featured on the lineup of the upcoming Meltdown festival curated by Simz.

A horror comedy called The Invisible Raptor had its world premiere at the 2023 Sitges Film Festival and then made the festival rounds for a year. It’s funny how sometimes the most unexpected connections pop up, breaking the rules we thought we had about entertainment. We always believed you could only pick one side: the quirky, fast-talking Lorelai Gilmore (from Gilmore Girls) and her charming Stars Hollow or the brooding, morally gray Tony Soprano (The Sopranos) and his dark world of mobsters.

One was all about warm, heartfelt coffee shop moments, while the other was steeped in criminal drama and family power struggles. The two shows seemed like worlds apart—how could they possibly overlap?

It turns out that, while Lorelai and Tony may never have shared a coffee or swapped mafia tips, an eagle-eyed Redditor stumbled upon a shocking little Easter egg that ties the two shows together in a way that’ll make you do a double-take.

It might be time for action movie icon Sylvester Stallone to turn in his guns, as the latest effort from the Rambo and Expendables star has now joined a notorious club on the review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes. This year’s Armor, which finds Stallone on the wrong side of the law as a thief attempting to rob the titular armored truck, has now landed a seriously “rotten” score of 0% after 19 reviews. For every "Crisis on Infinite Earths" or "Scoobynatural," television studios typically make half a dozen misguided cash-ins in a desperate attempt to expand each show's unique viewing audience. So, where does that leave the often-forgotten conversion between one of Fox's most beloved procedural series, Bones, and one of their most forgotten, Sleepy Hollow?

"SleepyBones," as some fans took to calling it, saw forensic anthropologist Temperance "Bones" Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and her longtime FBI partner Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) team up with the no-nonsense FBI agent Abbie Mills (Nicole Berharie) and her 18th Century time-traveling partner, Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison), to investigate a crime that only their combined might can potentially solve. This unexpected collaboration was a shock to fans of both Bones and Sleepy Hollow, and it ultimately resulted in one of the strangest — and most underappreciated — crossover episodes in TV history.

One of the signs of a successful show is the characters in it, and their ability to win the hearts of viewers. Hollow Man is a horror/sci-fi film starring Kevin Bacon as a grandiose and misguided scientist. The film has been widely panned by critics and audiences, but has found a bit of a cult following. Now, Hollow Man will stream for free on Pluto TV.

According to Pluto TV, Hollow Man will join the ranks of their streaming library on October 1. The movie stars Kevin Bacon as brilliant but morally dubious scientist, Sebastian Caine, who is working on an invisibility serum for the US military. Starring alongside Bacon are Elisabeth Shue, who has gone on to play Madelyn Stillwell in Prime Videos The Boys, Dunes Josh Brolin, Heroes Greg Grunberg, and Kim Dickens as the team of scientists working on the project with Caine. When their experiment succeeds and it renders Bacons character invisible, Caine is corrupted by this newfound power and horror ensues.

Griselda Gonzalez Gentile’s Luminosa Venture Films has boarded the animated series “Hollow Flowers,” created by multi-media artist and filmmaker Daniel Yepes.

“Hollow Flowers” joins a Luminosa production slate that includes “Ernesto Che Guevara, un Canto Incluso,” a documentary revisiting the legacy of Che Guevara’s thoughts in the contemporary world, and “The Beauty of the Instant,” a fiction feature presenting at this year’s Sanfic Industria Ibero-American Work in Progress sidebar.

Currently in development, the “Hollow Flowers” series is part of a trans-media dark fantasy animated project for teens and adults. It will also include a short film, a video game and a comic. The series will be 20 episodes long, with each clocking in at 15 minutes. Yepes has already produced a teaser and a bible and is courting potential partners for the various formats.
