Alongside Kevin James, the cast of the 2011 comedy, Zookeeper, sees many high-profile celebrities help make it a memorable fantasy movie as they voice several of its anthropomorphic animals. James stars as the titular hero, who is considering a career switch as he feels thats the only way he can improve his chances at finding love. The news comes as a shock to his animal friends, and the zoo creatures try and set him up with someone else to convince him to stay. Zookeeper didnt fare well with most critics but is still worth a watch for family-friendly comedy fans.
What is worth noting about the Zookeeper cast is the stellar voice cast behind the animals and the actual animals themselves. The movie features some iconic animal performers, like Crystal the Monkey who provides the physical likeness for the tufted capuchin Donald, and the late Bart the Bear 2 who plays the grizzly bear Jerome.

There are movies for kids of all ages. Some of them are perfect for younger family members who want to laugh at the escapades of an animated, talking panda. Then there are movies for teenagers who need to learn a discipline or want to feel a little older and edgier.

Adam Sandler and Kevin James showcase real-life friendship in comedy collaborations on and off-screen. Sandler has taken on a producer role in many James' solo films, extending their professional partnership. Despite mixed critical reception, their joint projects have been successful with audiences, leading to box office hits.
Though there are many notable film duos in history, the various Adam Sandler and Kevin James movies highlight the two stars' real-life friendship. Both men have acted and produced, but they got their big break doing stand-up comedy. From there, the two continued collaborating on comedy films that brought them together, on and off-screen. While critics don't often love their collaborations, they continue to be a hit with fans. Sandler is the bigger star and has been around longer, but James followed a similar path.
Both men became stars on television, with Sandler on Saturday Night Live and James on the sitcom King of Queens.

Following a handful of supporting roles in “Tag,” “Green Book” and “The Irishman,” Sebastian Maniscalco makes his first bid for leading-man status with “About My Father,” a family comedy sourced from the same semi-autobiographical material that made his stand-up a commercial and cultural phenomenon. To say it’s better than all three “Meet the Parents” films may be a dubious compliment, but it’s one made more significant because it co-stars Robert De Niro — and more importantly, actually features recognizable human behavior amidst its suitably outlandish set pieces. Whether or not Maniscalco has a legitimate future as a movie star, he proves a likeable presence as a romantic lead, while director Laura Terruso skillfully delivers comedic payoffs that tap into his wheelhouse while introducing him to a wider audience.

Warner Bros. has shuffled around release dates for three of the studio’s upcoming movies: “Mortal Kombat, “Tom and Jerry” and Hugh Jackman’s sci-fi drama “Reminiscence.”
“Mortal Kombat,” a live-action adaptation of the popular video game, was originally set for Jan. 15, 2021, and will now open on April 16, 2021. “Reminiscence,” which was initially slated for mid-April, was removed from the studio’s calendar. November can be a slow month for streaming services. Amazon, however, is entering into 2020’s penultimate month with some steam.
Amazon is really beefing up its TV library in November 2020. Both Community (which arrives on Nov. 8) and Scrubs (Nov. 14) will be added to Amazon Prime this month and in the process complete the streaming trifecta: Netflix, Amazon, Hulu. That’s pretty impressive stuff for both shows. And then on the film side of things, November 1 sees the arrival of The X-Files: I Want to Believe, Twilight, and the Underworld franchise. Somebody didn’t tell Amazon Spooky Season was over and bless them for it.
As for the originals, Alex Rider is the most intriguing TV series here. That is based on the British spy novel series and premieres on Nov. 13 on IMDb TV (which is available to all Prime subscribers). That will be followed by Steve McQueen’s Small Axe series on Nov.

Donald Trump’s contentious interview with veteran “60 Minutes” host Lesley Stahl, as well as Joe Biden’s less eventful sit-down, scored the show its largest audience since 2018.
The dual Biden and Trump interviews, the latter of which the President cut short, drew a total of 16.8 million total viewers on CBS and scored a 2.4 rating among adults 18-49, per Nielsen time adjusted fast national numbers. That represents the most viewers to tune in since the infamous Stormy Daniels interview from March two years ago. During the Trump interview, Stahl grilled the President on his coronavirus response.
The strong “60 Minutes” performance was likely due in part to the fact it was pre-empted by an NFL game. However, it still managed to put up those impressive numbers up against “Sunday Night Football” and the World Series.

Adam Sandler and Kevin James seem to be joined at the hip, and you rarely see one of them without the other following close behind. Sandler gave James his first role in a live-action movie when the latter was handed the glamorous part of Factory Worker in 2004’s 50 First Dates, back when he was still best known as the star of sitcom The King of Queens, and they’ve been inseparable ever since.
Over the last fifteen years, Sandler and James have co-starred in the three entries in the Hotel Transylvania franchise, two Grown Ups movies, I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry, Zookeeper, Pixels and Sandy Wexler, while James showed up as himself for an uncredited cameo in You Don’t Mess with the Zohan.

Adam Sandler's 1998 sports comedy The Waterboy is one of the divisive comedians more fondly remembered movies. Though he did not appear in the movie himself, frequent Sandler collaborator Kevin James was recently asked which of his pal's characters he would most like to see receive a spin-off, with James quickly calling for The Waterboy to make a comeback.
"Oh, Bobby Boucher. I think Bobby Boucher would crush it. I'd wanna see more of that. I think he's phenomenal. I would love to see that."
Bobby Boucher is, of course, the protagonist of The Waterboy. Played by Sandler, who employs one of his typically ridiculous voices for the role, Bobby is raised by his overprotective mother, Helen. Bobby is the water boy for a successful college football team coached by Red Beaulieu, but when Beaulieu fires Bobby, he takes up the same position for a losing rival team, led by despairing Coach Klein.

We have the first full-length trailer for The Babysitter: Killer Queen. Netflix has revealed the footage from the upcoming horror sequel, which brings back several cast members for the first movie, including Judah Lewis as Cole and Bella Thorne as Allison. As we can see from the trailer, we are in for another horrific and comedic romp, with the action cranked up a notch or two.
The trailer opens up with Cole, who has grown up a bit since we last saw him, recounting the events of the first movie. Cole is dealing with some growing pains, as many of us do in our teenage years, only nobody believes his wild tale of near-death at the hands of his babysitter. To try and get away from his thoughts, Cole heads to the lake with some friends for what is supposed to be a raucous weekend of fun. While it starts that way,...

On the heels of releasing Music for Looking Animals, a new album under his solo project Mountain Time, Chris Simpson has released a wistful video for “Empty Graves.”
Directed by Gates Bradley, the black-and-white video features an accordion player busking in an empty town. Wearing a mask, she straps on her character shoes and plays the opening lines to the song: “I’m a sowing machine/Everything but what she needs/And God she knows just what I mean.” She travels through abandoned streets and fields, finally receiving a tip at the end.

Netflix‘s biggest content drops typically come on the very first day of a new month, and August was no different in that regard. Extremely popular flicks like Seabiscuit, Mad Max and Being John Malkovich landed on the 1st, but not every new arrival hits Netflix’s Top 10 most-watched movies list.
Currently, the chart is being populated by some beloved classics – the wildly successful 90s adventure Jurassic Park is sitting comfortably at #2, for instance – and also a few of the usual suspects, but #9 is home to a sometimes overlooked Adam Sandler film that’s guaranteed to get some laughs out of you.
See for yourself below:
Top 10 Movies on Netflix US (August 5th)
1. Malibu Rescue: The Next Wave
2. Jurassic Park
3. The Kissing Booth 2
4. Latte and the Magic Waterstone
5. Rogue Warfare: The Hunt
6. Animal Crackers
7. What Keeps You Alive
8. Zookeeper

With the summer starting to wind down, Netflix appear to be taking their foot off the gas a little bit when it comes to releasing high-profile original movies. Over the last few months, the streaming service has debuted a string of in-house projects that have either been subjected to widespread critical acclaim or racked up huge viewing numbers, and frequently both.
Netflix can sometimes be fairly secretive about their viewership data unless they’re shouting their success from the rooftops, and having recently revealed their Top 10 most-watched original movies ever, you can understand why they went public. If you include the reported 72 million streams for Charlize Theron’s The Old Guard that would see it claim sixth spot in the rankings, then four of the Top 10 were released between March and July of this year alone.

Kevin James is pretty similar to Adam Sandler in regards to the fact that most of his work is routinely trashed by critics and often falls into the “dumb comedy” category, but he’s still managed to amass a massive fanbase who’ll watch anything he’s in. Also like Sandler, though he usually seems to be phoning in most of his performances, we know that he’s capable of strong dramatic work when he wants to flex his acting chops a bit. Like we saw in the recent Becky.
But the comparisons don’t end there, as also like the Uncut Gems star, James’ efforts usually go over pretty well with the Netflix crowd, and that’s true yet again with the arrival of Zookeeper on the streaming site. Though it currently sits at 14% on Rotten Tomatoes, this 2011 comedy has been dominating the platform all week. It arrived on...

As we quickly approach the end of the month, things have been slowing down a bit as far as new content on Netflix is concerned. That’s to be expected, though, as most streaming sites usually drop the bulk of their new arrivals on the first of any given month, with the remaining days seeing smaller batches of new movies and shows being added.
Unfortunately, today is another somewhat slow day for the big N, as the platform has only brought us 4 new titles, consisting of 3 films and 1 TV show. That being said, it’s far from an underwhelming drop and there are at least a few things here that may catch your attention.
See below for the full list of what arrived today:
3 New Movies
Banana Split (2018) Double World (2019) Zookeeper (2011)
1 New TV Series
Shameless (Season 10)
Television-wise, your one and only option is season 10 of Shameless, though that’s far from a bad thing.

With little fanfare, YouTube started streaming popular ad-supported movies for free. Last month, movies like Legally Blonde and pics from the Rocky franchise (Rocky I-v to be specific) popped up on the streaming service.
This is a new move for YouTube as they used to only offer movies and TV shows for purchase or rental. It also comes after Roku introduced its own free, ad-supported movie selection called The Roku Channel which is available on the web. Walmart’s streaming service Vudu, as well as Tubi, offer their own selection of free films.
YouTube hasn’t disclosed the deals it has made with studios and according to AdAge, Rohit Dhawan, director of product management at YouTube said that there will eventually be a way for advertisers to pay to sponsor individual movies, giving users complimentary views and exclusive screenings.

If ever you wanted to watch a movie on YouTube for free without breaking the law, now is your time. Feature films have been available to purchase and/or rent on the Google-owned site for years, but last month YouTube rolled out a number of free, ad-supported offerings without making an explicit announcement about the new feature. Among the 100 or so titles currently available are “Rocky,” “Legally Blonde,” and “The Terminator.”
As for the ads themselves, they aren’t as obtrusive as you might fear: Watching Arnold Schwarzenegger say “I’ll be back,” for instance, will require you to endure nine commercial breaks across the sci-fi classic’s 107-minute runtime.
“We saw this opportunity based on user demand, beyond just offering paid movies. Can we do ad-supported movies, free to the user?” Rohit Dhawan, director of product management at YouTube, said to AdAge. “It also presents a nice opportunity for advertisers.

Rock stars wanting to be actors and vice versa are a common phenomenon in Hollywood. No one quite managed to pull off the transition with the success of Cher, who remains the only rock icon to manage to not only make a successful transition to acting but also to win an Oscar for acting and not composing.
It wasn’t an easy transition though. Cher paired with husband Sonny Bono in her teens to become the duo simply known as Sonny and Cher. After a string of hit records, the duo launched a successful television variety show where Cher was able to hone her acting and comedic skills as she appeared in various sketches. Her marriage to Sonny would end in divorce, and Cher struggled to transition in to acting. Upon receipt of a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress for “Silkwood,” Cher thanked all the Hollywood moguls who would never give her a job.

Presumably having made note of what “Wonder Woman” did for the career of Gal Gadot, Jessica Chastain is in talks to join “Game of Thrones” and “X-Men: Apocalypse” star Sophie Turner in Simon Kinberg’s “X-Men: Dark Phoenix” (Fox, November 2, 2018). Chastain would take on villain Lilandra, alien empress of the Shi’ar. (We shall see if free agents James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, and Jennifer Lawrence see fit to return.)
A twice-nominated, 40-year-old, outspoken actress, signing on to be a Marvel villain? Smart move.
Actors have an enormous advantage over actresses in Hollywood. For starters, the culture gives men more opportunities in more genres over a longer period to become leads. They’re allowed to improve with age and add silver-haired gravitas as they move from boys to young men to fathers to a man who could be king.
Actresses have far fewer opportunities, in fewer genres, over a much shorter time span to become leads.

Zac Efron. Dwayne Johnson. Muscles. Beach. Zac Efron’s and Dwayne Johnson’s muscles at a beach…
Now that we objectified male actors for a change, let’s dive deep into Baywatch, a Seth Gordon film that’s set to be released on May 28 of this year. Judging just from Gordon’s previous work on Horrible Bosses and Identity Thief, it looks funny, and it looks good.
Move over David Hasselhoff! Dwayne Johnson takes over his role as Mitch Buchanan, the super hunky main lifeguard who now has to deal with a new recruit, Matt Brody, and his sporadic ways. Originally played by David Charvet in the television series, this new lifeguard is, surprise, played by Zac Efron. Together, the two must learn to overcome their differences after they find some underground crime ring that could potentially destroy the Bay.

Netflix has released the first trailer for True Memoirs of an International Assassin, the latest film starring Kevin James. Adam Sandler got a globe-spanning mistaken-identity movie on the streaming service earlier this year, so it's only fair if James gets one too.
James plays Sam Larson, a mild-mannered would-be author who gets mistaken for a killer-for-hire when his fictional novel about an international assassin is published as a true story. When the book is a huge success, he is suddenly kidnapped, taken out of the country, and forced into an assassination plot.
I rolled my eyes a lot during this trailer, but I will admit that this looks way better than Paul Blart, Zookeeper, Here Comes the Boom, or a lot of the other crap that James has been pumping out over the past few years. What do you think? Will you be checking this out? True Memoirs of an...

One episode was provided prior to broadcast.
Kevin James is a simple entertainer. His blue collar-friendly brand is designed to appeal to undemanding middle-aged schlubs, or at the very least, easy-to-please hard-working people who just want to kick their feet back, gulp down a couple beers and enjoy themselves for a few hours. The kind of people who don’t expect more than the familiar pleasures they’ve been given before. And there’s nothing particularly wrong with that either. James’ style might be boring and repetitive to some of us (well, maybe most of us), but he’s a smart businessman. He knows what his fans expect from him, and he tries to meet their modest demands. That logic drives Kevin Can Wait, James’ return to CBS and broadcast television.

Every so often, a film gets made that is so singularly baffling, so misguided and so wrongheaded that it is a kind of terrible miracle—something that should not be and yet is. The Garbage Pail Kids Movie is exactly that kind of film.
On paper, it makes sense: a studio sees the success of the wildly popular line of Topps trading cards during the mid-’80s and determines a movie is there. The rights were snatched up by the Atlantic Entertainment Group and co-writer/director Rod Amateau was hired to bring the Garbage Pail Kids to the screen. Legendary effects man and sometimes director John Carl Buechler designed animatronic heads to be worn by little people actors and about $1 million was spent to make what would become The Garbage Pail Kids Movie, now widely regarded as one of the worst movies ever made. It’s now available in high-def...

Following a stellar year, including an Emmy win for her sketch series Inside Amy Schumer and a box office smash, Trainwreck, Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo features Schumer in her first HBO stand-up special directed non-other than by award-winning comedian/writer/actor/director Chris Rock.
Taped before a live audience at New York’s iconic Apollo Theater, Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo had one hell of a reputation to uphold, after all Schumer’s previous one-hour stand-up special, Mostly Sex Stuff, still stands as the highest-rated Comedy Central original stand-up special since 2011. Thankfully Schmuer comes out of the gate fighting – from the get-go her jokes are on point, swiftly testing the limits of comedy by delivering hilarious and shocking jokes along with off-kilter observations keeping the audience, and viewers, on their toes and in hysterics.
Yet hidden in those gross-out laughs and cutting edge jokes, Schumer actually has...

"I’m not gonna be a very good movie star," Amy Schumer sighed last night to a sold-out and adoring hometown crowd at New York City's Beacon Theater — a crowd that seemed to disagree very strongly with the statement. I don’t remember exactly when she uttered it, but I want to say it was right after the bit about the dieting tips she had learned during her recent stint in Los Angeles ("That’s the Hollywood secret: Don’t put any food in your dumb mouth!"); or the one about exactly how LeBron James ended up with a supporting role in her upcoming movie Trainwreck ("I wrote him into the script because he’s the only basketball player I’d ever heard of"); or maybe it was after her long, impassioned rant against the 2011 Kevin James movie Zookeeper that doubled as a lacerating critique of the rules about...

Netflix left its mark at Cannes yesterday by acquiring worldwide distribution rights to Kevin James action-comedy The True Memoirs of an International Assassin. The purchase furthers the streaming service’s aggressive forays into feature distribution, especially given that the budget is said to be on the scale of other James titles, including Sony Pictures’ Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 and Zookeeper.
Under the terms of the deal, The True Memoirs of an International Assassin will be presented as a “Netflix event,” debuting exclusively on the streaming service next year and entirely circumventing a theatrical release. Major theater chains like AMC and Regal have been vocal in their opposition to Netflix failing to observe the traditional release model of a theatrical bow followed by home media release, so one can imagine those companies are none-too-happy to hear about the streaming service’s latest acquisition.
