Synopsis:
Homer wakes up one morning covered in snow, and he has no recollection of what happened in the 24 hours prior. He goes home to find that his wife and kids are missing, his dog is growling and snapping at him, and he has no idea why. Moe then informs him that Homer drank a "Forget-Me-Shot" which is a drink so strong it wipes out the last 24 hours of your life, and when Chief Wiggum informs Homer that there was a domestic disturbance reported at his house the night before, Homer begins to worry that he may have done something horrible while intoxicated. He calls upon Professor Frink, who hooks him up to a machine, to help recover his memories. While exploring his memories, he finds out that Marge was having an affair with an unnamed man, and he thinks that he gave her a black eye because of it. He then, in real life, decides to jump off of a bridge, and just when he begins to question his decision, Patty and Selma push him off, and while his life flashes before his eyes, he remembers everything that happened the night before. He walked in on Marge planning a surprise party with Duffman, and when Homer tries to open a champagne bottle to celebrate, the cork hits Marge in the eye, and she gets a shiner. Then, wishing that he hadn't found out about a surprise party that Marge had spent so much time keeping a secret, he heads over to Moe's and takes the Forget-Me-Shot so that he'd still be surprised. Just when he's about to die, he lands on the boat that Marge rented for the party, and he and all of his friends and family have a good time. But why was Santa's Little Helper growling at him? To quote Bart, it's because Homer "never feed(s) him, never let(s) him out to pee, never...".
