Wonder Woman: You've been hunting this sorceress Le Fay for how long?
Etrigan: For hundreds of years, she's taunted me in a never-ending game of cat-and-mouse. But I'll never rest until her soul writhes in the Eternal Pit!
The Flash: [aside] And I thought Bats was creepy.

Merlin: Art thou satisfied, villain? By base treachery, Camelot will fall this day.
Jason Blood: You could never understand, Merlin. You, who are not a man and have never known the sweetness of a woman's kiss.
Merlin: A viper's kiss, Jason Blood. The kiss of a demon in human form. All my great dreams are undone in the name of thy tainted love.
Jason Blood: I've paid for my crime with my life. Is that not enough?
Merlin: Nay! Such swift mercy is not for the likes of thee! Thou art cursed, Jason Blood, until the day this monstrous deed is atoned! To mark thy eternal shame, I hereby bind thy soul to a creature of the Pit! Look at thee now and see the face spawned from thy lust! The face of thy perdition! The face of... thy inner demon!

Batman: [finding Etrigan standing over Moss's body] What did you do?
J'onn J'onzz: [checking Moss's pulse] He's in shock. But he'll recover.
Etrigan: Why bother with him? He'll pass on in a few years, anyway.
J'onn J'onzz: [searching Moss's thoughts telepathically] He has no knowledge of the stone. The relic is not there.
Etrigan: [smashing items on a table] Blast! But if Moss doesn't have it, then maybe Hickman does.

Etrigan: [attacking J'onn] I knew it. That harpy still has her claws in you. You betrayed us.
Batman: [stopping him from throwing another punch] No. Leave him...
[collapsing]
Batman: Alone.
J'onn J'onzz: Batman!
Etrigan: Admit it, Martian. You let her get away, didn't you? It's all your fault.

Etrigan: Don't trust the Martian. He's been tainted by that witch.
Batman: Let us worry about that.
Etrigan: Heed me. She will tap into your deepest desires, then dangle them like a carrot in front of your nose. She will give you everything you dream of, but only until she gets what she wants.
Batman: The voice of experience.
Etrigan: [grunting] Hmm. Don't say I didn't warn you.

My'ria'h: While you were away, I changed the tactile scheme. Do you like it?
J'onn J'onzz: I have lived among unfamiliar surroundings for so long.
J'onn's Children: [running in] Father, Father!
J'onn J'onzz: [picking them up in joy] My dear children!
J'onn's Children: Are you staying home this time, Father?
J'onn J'onzz: Yes. I am truly home.
Etrigan: [appearing in a flash of light] You fool! Only a weak-minded simpleton would fall for this illusion.
J'onn J'onzz: How dare you violate the sanctity of my home. Leave this place!
Etrigan: Not without you.

Batman: [inspecting a book with a page torn out] The Philosopher's Stone.
Jason Blood: According to legend, it was a gem from the hilt of Excaliber and the true source of the sword's fabled power.
Batman: Hello, Jason. I assume you're not here to browse.
Jason Blood: I'm a friend of the owner.
Batman: You mean that old man?
Jason Blood: He's 32 years old. He's also an expert in Arthurian lore.
Batman: What's this all about?
Jason Blood: Morgaine le Fay. When Camelot fell, Merlin was able to hide the Philosopher's Stone from her. Now she's returned to track it down again.
Batman: Impossible.
Jason Blood: You of all people should know better.
Batman: Why does she want the gem?
Jason Blood: With it, she can resurrect Camelot and place her son Mordred on the throne.
Batman: Okay... . how close is she to finding this Philosopher's Stone?
Jason Blood: Too close.

Morgaine le Fey: Did Arthur think mere walls could keep us apart?
Jason Blood: Morgaine, my love, your beauty has possessed me. How I've longed to hold you, to feel you in my arms again.
Morgaine le Fey: I, too, have dreamt of this moment.
Jason Blood: [reacting as her fang-like teeth bite and poison him] But... why?
Morgaine le Fey: For love, of course. The love of my son, Camelot's new ruler.
