Bharat Shah lodges complaint against Rgv
J.D. Chakravarthi in Satya (1998)
Once upon a time filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma and diamond merchant cum film financer Bharat Shah were close friends. Shah had financed a lot of Rgv's projects including the likes of Satya, Mast, Jungle, Company and even Rgv Ki Aag. However, now the duo are at loggerheads following a complaint lodged by Shah to the Association of Motion Pictures Television Programme Producers (Amptpp) against Rgv for non-payment of dues to him. The Amptpp in turn has sent a legal notice to Rgv. Shah claims that he had paid over Rs. 10 crores to Rgv over the years and is yet to recover even the principal amount forget the interest. Moreover, Shah is also miffed with Rgv's plans of making a sequel to Satya as he believes the filmmaker doesn't have the rights to the cult classic. The Amptpp is waiting for Rgv's response on this matter.

I know I'm not saleable: Sushant Singh
He may not have bagged meaty roles in multi-starrers and blockbusters, but actor Sushant Singh is quite satisfied with his bouquet of work in Bollywood and says he is well aware that he isn't 'a very saleable' actor after all! 'People don't give me big roles in big budget films...they don't take me as a lead because I am not too 'bikau' (saleable). I know it, and I am okay with it. In fact, I am happy doing sensible cinema where directors need actors, not stars,' Sushant told Ians. The actor, who made it big with Ram Gopal Varma's 'Jungle', is known for intense roles in 'The Legend of Bhagat Singh' and 'Sehar', but believes there's no measure to fame - and is proud that he never runs after such things. Swati Chitnis goes an extra mile
Bollywood celebrities are well-known for their dedication. Swati Chitnis, who is making a comeback with Road to Sangam after giving a terrific performance in Rgv’s Jungle in 2000 has become an epitome of the very word ‘dedication’.

The director of the film Road to Sangam, Amit Rai explains why. “Swati is sharing the silver screen with Paresh Rawal as his wife in the film. They were supposed to have an extremely emotional scene. To top it all, the budget of the film had its limitation and our unit was supposed to wrap-up the film in a limited time frame. Unfortunately, during that time.

The censor board is the necessary evil: Rgv
As his Agyaat gears up for a release, Ram Gopal Varma was in full candid mood revealing to us all about his film and much more.

What was the reason behind going to the Sigiriya jungle in Sri Lanka?

There is no jungle scarier than the Sigiria Jungles. The place is so scary that every minute one fears any creature may be coming your way. Big animals like tigers and small animals like snakes could be the intruders. One always fears that a creature may pop up from beneath the bush and bite you. One fears the bushy jungles, as we needed to shoot at the wee hrs. This Jungle is the most.
