Mike Flanagan’s upcoming take on the Stephen King novel The Life Of Chuck has a new trailer – and an August UK release date.

Off the back of last year’s Toronto International Film Festival, there was a feeling that Mike Flanagan’s upcoming adaptation of the Stephen King novel The Life Of Chuck could be something really rather good. The film won TIFF’s coveted People’s Choice Award, leading to buzz that the film would go on to earn a Best Picture nomination at the Academy Awards, given that 12 of the last 14 winners have gone on to do so.

That ultimately wouldn’t happen because the film’s US distributor Neon – presumably busy running a campaign to get Sean Baker’s Anora a Best Picture Oscar – elected to give the film a May 2025 release slot. While that date doesn’t suggest that Neon thinks The Life Of Chuck...
