Shrek was one of the more odd films to come out of the early 2000s, but the film was one of the most successful animated features of its time. It stayed a novel take on the fantasy film genre that broke the mold Dinsey had set up for fairytales.

Lord Farquaad, the main antagonist of the first Shrek film, met his end at the hands of the dragon that was guarding Fiona, or so fans thought. While it’s not known if the scene is canon or not, Lord Farquaad might have actually survived being swallowed whole by a dragon.
