Sabretooth Actor Liev Schreiber Addresses Missing Out on Deadpool & Wolverine
Deadpool & Wolverine's multiverse premise allowed Fox Marvel characters to return. Liev Schreiber explained why it was for the best his Sabretooth variant did not appear in the film.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine was critically panned when it was released in 2009, but Marvel fans have warmed up to the film over the years. Some assert Deadpool & Wolverine wouldn't have happened if not for Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman's first pairing; Reynolds has been campaigning for a rematch since Deadpool 2, and Jackman thought about the crossover when he saw the first Deadpool film. Fans hoped more characters from X-Men Origins: Wolverine would appear in Deadpool & Wolverine, however. There were mounting rumors Liev Schreiber would reprise Sabretooth, but the trailers debunked this. Schreiber told Collider he had no idea fans were clamoring for his return.
