They broke up in November 2021, and though the pair appeared to reunite this spring, it seems like they've officially gone their separate ways once more.

At least as of June, Mendes seems to be focused on working on himself instead of pursuing a new relationship. "Shawn is still growing and discovering himself. He needs time to himself to do what makes him happy," a source told People on June 14. "He has a lot more living and learning in his future."

Mendes and Cabello seemingly struck up a romance after being friends for years and working together on their hit "Señorita." Before Cabello, though, Mendes was famously quiet about his dating history, preferring to keep his romantic life private - though he did admit to having a fling with Hailey Bieber.
