Son of Chad McQueen and Stacey Toten, and stepson of Canadian hockey player Luc Robitaille. Nephew of Terry McQueen. On his father's side, he is a grandson of actors Steve McQueen and Neile Adams. On his mother's side, he is a grandson of musician Bob Totem and Pamela Ann Houck.

McQueen uses the name Steven R. McQueen professionally, the 'R' referring to his stepfather's surname of Robitaille.

He is a half-second cousin of musician and actor Enrique Iglesias. One of Steven's paternal great-grandfathers, José Salgado Arrastia, was also a maternal great-grandfather of Enrique.

Steven's paternal grandmother, actress Neile Adams, was born in the Philippines, and has Filipino and Spanish ancestry. Steven's other roots are Scottish, English, German, Scots-Irish/Northern Irish, and distant Cornish, Dutch, and Welsh.

I've been watching 'Dexter' recently; I love that show. It's my favorite.
