Reality ratings are based on toxic relationships and scandals. Carlos King's Love & Marriage: Huntsville became OWN's No. 1 series because of the marital breakdown of star couple Martel Holt and Melody Rogers. Introduced as a series celebrating Black excellence, entrepreneurship and marriage, Love & Marriage: Huntsville focused on three successful couples that partnered in real estate ventures. Marsau and Latisha Scott represented the more traditional family, while Maurice and Kimmi Scott offered a more of a contemporary option with a blended family. Audiences were hesitant to embrace the series as Huntsville, Al was not known for being spicy or even interesting, but King knew the internal friction between the couples and the spouses would produce reality gold. And while it was the catalyst for the show's success, it's since become its downfall.

The news of Keke Jabbar's unexpected passing rocked Love & Marriage: Huntsville's fans and cast alike. Whether you were a personal fan of Keke's or not, her uphill battle with addiction, toxic relationship with her family, and inability to move into a healthy space was undeniable. Many fans of the reality series were split between Keke and her cousin Latisha Scott in their familial squabble. Keke did a number of interviews before she passed away, detailing the dysfunctional relationship between the cousins.

Reality TV fans are mourning a huge loss.

KeKe Jabbar, a cast member on OWN’s popular Love & Marriage: Huntsville series, has died.

She was 42 years old.

Marcella Speaks, a popular blogger, announced the sad news during a live stream on YouTube.

Marcella was given a statement from the family that stated Jabbar “died peacefully at home surrounded in love.”

“She was a mom, a sister, and a great friend full of life, love and laughter,” the statement continues.

Latisha Scott, Jabbar’s cousin and co-star, took to Instagram to say that the family was “asking for Respect, and privacy in our moment of grief, while we process this great loss.

Keke Jabbar, a cast member on OWN’s reality television series Love & Marriage: Huntsville, has died. She was 42. Jabbar’s passing was announced by social media personality Marcella Speaks, who read a statement from Jabbar’s family during a YouTube live stream on Tuesday, July 2. In the statement, Speaks revealed that Jabbar died “peacefully at home surrounded in love.” A cause of death was not disclosed. “It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Keke,” the family’s statement read. “She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by love. She was a mom, a sister, and a great friend full of life, love and laughter. Keke Jabbar was a fairly new face for Love & Marriage: Huntsville fans. Although she is a blood relative and bears a striking physical resemblance to Latisha Scott, Keke was introduced to the reality show as a friend of Melody Holt. Keke's connection with Melody was a point of contention in her relationship with her cousin Latisha, but the two attempted several times over the last two seasons to reset their relationship. Unfortunately, most of Keke's time on camera consisted of fighting or throwing mud at her cousin Latisha. Last season, Keke threw water at Latisha at a family picnic, putting the cousins at an uncomfortable stand-off and limiting Keke's camera time considerably.

Keke Jabbar's familial connection landed her a role on OWN's top-rated reality series Love & Marriage: Huntsville but fans of the show are wondering what lead to her being featured on Huntsville's Crimestoppers as a suspect in a robbery from a local home goods store. The mid-season premiere confirmed social media suspicions that Latisha Scott's cousin Keke was dealing with the repercussions of being a suspect in a robbery case.

Love & Marriage: Huntsville is returning for its sixth season. OWN has announced that the relationship reality series will return to the network next month.

During season six, the series will follow couples Melody Shari and Martell Holt, Kimmi and Maurice Scott, Marsau and Latisha Scott, and Tiffany and Louis Whitlow as they deal with their relationships.

Three new faces are also joining the action for season six. Viewers will see Stormi Steele and her husband Courtney Beasley, as well as Latisha’s cousin, Keke Jabbar.

CBS is set to air a primetime special titled “A Salute to ‘NCIS: Los Angeles'” immediately after the two-part conclusion of the long-running crime show on May 21.

Capping off 14 seasons of programming, the first part of the series finale airs May 14 (10-11 p.m. Et) on CBS. The second part will be released May 21 (9-10 p.m. Et), followed by the one-hour farewell special at 10 p.m. Et.

“Wrapping up a series is always bittersweet. We were blessed to have 14 seasons together, so bringing it to a satisfying end was extremely challenging after so many years,” said showrunner and executive producer R. Scott Gemmill. “Fortunately, CBS was gracious enough to give us an extra episode in order to send off our characters in a way befitting their stories that hopefully the fans find both satisfying and hopeful.”

The Love & Marriage: Huntsville season 5 reunion seemed to suggest that Marsau Scott had been unfaithful to Latisha Scott. Marsau has long been accused of cheating on her. Since the demise of Martell and Melody Holt's marriage throughout the early seasons, Marsau has seemingly worked hard to dodge rumors and accusations of being unfaithful in his marriage. Marsau and Latisha have been married for 12 years, and claim to have never stepped out on each other. While everyone believes Tisha, many suspect that Marsau might be lying.

Martell was the first to fuel the infidelity speculation, after he was caught cheating on his then-wife, Melody. Martell was in a rough place in his marriage when he confronted Marsau for speaking about his marital woes behind his back. Love & Marriage: Huntsville is returning soon to OWN. Season four will resume on Saturday. Featuring Melody Shari and Martell Holt, Kimmi and Maurice Scott, Marsau and Latisha Scott, Destiny Payton-Williams, as well as Tiffany and Louis Whitlow, the OWN reality series follows high-powered African-Americans as they come together to revitalize Huntsville, Alabama.

The show will be followed on Saturday nights by Family or Fiance which is hosted by Tracy McMillan.
