She played Dr. Elizabeth Rodgers a total of 263 times across 31 television seasons between 1992 and 2011: in 142 episodes from Seasons Two to Twenty of Law & Order (1990), Strafversetzt - Mord in Manhattan (1998), nine episodes of Season One of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999), 110 episodes from Seasons One to Ten of Criminal Intent - Verbrechen im Visier (2001) and the Law & Order: Trial by Jury (2005) episode Baby Boom (2005).

She appeared in 19 of the 20 seasons of Law & Order (1990), more than anyone else. The only one in which she did not appear was the first.

Along with Jerry Orbach, Jesse L. Martin, Fred Thompson and Carolyn McCormick, she is one of only five actors to play the same character (Dr. Elizabeth Rodgers) in all of the first four New York City-based "Law & Order" series: Law & Order (1990), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999), Criminal Intent - Verbrechen im Visier (2001) and Law & Order: Trial by Jury (2005).

Made her Broadway debut in 1992 as Jessica Lange's understudy in "A Streetcar Named Desire".
