For Dusan, this becomes much more than a simple case; it becomes a matter of personal confrontation and conviction. No one expects the investigation will come too much and Dusan's associates feel he's destined to fail, until Dusan finds the unit's only surviving soldier, Micun, who is hiding from his past and trying to live peacefully and quietly. The encounter of Dusan and Micun changes their lives in unpredictable ways and directly affects their families and futures.

This Serbian drama follows the exploits of a depressed architect in Belgrade as he wanders about searching for the future in a land where the future no longer exists. Handsome Nikola is in his mid-thirties. He earned the nickname Champ because he used to race speedboats. He makes a decent living as a free-lance architect and his apartment is spacious and comfortable. Ana is attracted by the Champ's good looks and apparent prosperity. He is always pensive though; even when he is out drinking at the local clubs with his companions he cannot help but brood about the state of Belgrade. Though the city appears fairly normal on the outside, the presence of the war is signalled when a reluctant conscript in the army is dragged away.

In 1999 Belgrade, producer Sergei and his film crew are in a disastrous situation: The film they're making is under threat; there's no money, the crew are dissatisfied, and NATO bombing is just around the corner. Then Mileta, a member of the State Security Service, comes looking for American co-producer Harvey. Anxious and worried in the midst of the bombing that's begun, Sergei hides Harvey from what he thinks is awaiting him: arrest. During the night, he thinks up a plan. He announces the start of filming on a new, patriotic film, in which the main role will be played by Harvey. The plan works--the State supports the film, and Mileta, as the State's representative, joins the crew. However, the underlying conflict between Mileta and Sergei explodes during the first screening. Mileta accuses them of being artists and not being patriots. Sergei begins to realize that he has endangered not only the film but the lives of the whole crew. A tragic death provokes a real revolt amongst the crew and some refuse to keep filming. Embittered by their 'unpatriotic' stance, Mileta arrests the protagonists and forces them to continue. Sergei, whose wife and child have now left, and who is accused of collaborating with Mileta by the rest of the crew, thinks up another plan.

Interwoven story becomes gently optimistic in its philosophy, yet remains credible throughout, deeply rooted in the reality and human nature.

Too early and too soon, he goes through the process of growing up. He learns the meanings of such words as force, death, sex. He learns how to achieve. He learns about the values. He learns what matters the most. The Lady neighbor that takes care of him tries to shelter him and protect him. Unsuccessfully. The Boy rides to fall. Death and suffering become more frequent, and more severe. When the Lady neighbor's teenage son is killed by a sniper as a collateral damage, she then rejects the Boy. The Boy escapes the siege, and shoots from a cannon at the city. Fifteen years later, the Boy - now twenty five - and the Lady neighbor meet again. They are united in pain and suffering.
