The author of the Pumuckl stories is Ellis Kaut, a resident of Munich, Germany who became famous for having invented that naughty little creature. By 1970 "Pumuckl" was successful enough that his stories were pressed on records. At this time actor Alfred Pongratz was the voice of Meister Eder. Alfred Pongratz died in 1977 and so Gustl Bayrhammer got the role. In 1979, the Bayerischer Rundfunk decided to put "Pumuckl" on TV. The TV series was absolutely successful and is still continued even today even though Gustl Bayrhammer (Meister Eder) died several years ago. Today, Pumuckl is living on a ship that travels the river Danube, and his new friend, a crewman on that ship,is played by Towje Kleiner. In the TV series "Pumuckl" is an animated character whose voice is that of Hans Clarin. This actor lent "Pumuckl" his voice from the very beginning on the radio and has now been doing so for 40 years. The high-pitched voice is a trademark of Pumuckl, and no one could ever replace Hans Clarin in this part.

- Boxer is the king of the correctional facility. Nothing works without him in "his" prison, and if need be, he even knocks out a much younger fellow inmate. - and that at over 80 years of age, mind you. However, his advanced age is increasingly taking its toll, which has not escaped the notice of the prison doctor. Boxer is to be transferred to a prison especially for senior citizens - the idea alone makes the sprightly prison veteran shudder. But then his buddy Henne tells him that he has finally found what he is looking for in the search for Boxer's great love Kathrin, and even more: He has found out that Kathrin has a daughter - and she looks amazingly like Boxer ... Suddenly he old crooks no longer have anything against being transferred to senior citizens' prison. From there, he has resolved, he will be able to escape. And then he will see the woman he once wanted to marry, and maybe his daughter too. However, there was one thing Boxer did not expect: his former friend Wallberg is also housed in his new prison home. Boxer had committed several robberies with him and Henne in the 80s, including a spectacular jewel robbery worth millions. Boxer and Wallberg were convicted, nothing could be proven against Henne. The booty was gone. Boxer, while still in custody, beat Wallberg to the hospital. He suspected that Wallberg had at least one eye on Kathrin. In the senior citizens' prison, Wallberg plays the harmless demented quite convincingly in order to be able to deal undisturbed with medicines. But Boxer saw through him and continued to be confrontational - until Wallberg suggested they flee together. What Boxer doesn't suspect: thanks to Henne's involvement, Wallberg has the same motive as he does - after all, Kathrin's daughter could also be his child. The escape succeeds, the former crook trio is reunited and first wants to dig up the loot from the grave of millions, so that they can finally see Kathrin again. But the outside world has changed since Boxer and Wallberg's convictions, and nothing is going quite as well as Boxer thought it would.
