- After drunkenly agreeing to let Kev build him a stone wall for his upcoming milestone b-day, Kent is surprised and frustrated when a pile of stones shows up to his house, and work on the wall begins.
- Three young actors. Two families. One role. Aspiring actors and family friends; Ruby, Sterling, and Katie, all receive a next-day audition request for the same role. They each must film a "self tape", aka a do-it-yourself-at-home audition. With only 12 hours to submit, they have no choice but to accept less than ideal help from: an over-dramatic stage mom, a frustrated and nit-picky father, a fellow child-actor, and perhaps the most challenging of all, a mom who knows nothing about acting. Between strict deadlines, a corny script and familial squabbles, tensions escalate. Will this be their big break or break down?

This sardonic femme tale is based on the true lives of the creators.

- A mother takes her minivan through an automatic car wash, drives home, scoops up the mail, pulls into the garage and kills herself. She leaves behind a husband (Dad), a daughter away at college (Riley), a set of teenage twins (Caitrin and Eli), and a dog (Leadbelly). Eli (Eli Rubenstein)-- by all accounts a normal teenage boy -- just wants everything to go back to normal. When the family dog goes missing (and nobody else in the family seems to care) he searches for her because somebody in this family has to try to hold this all together damnit. Caitrin (Caitrin Gallagher) did everything first. She was born first. She got her license first. She found out about her dead mom first. She's sick of it. If adulthood is as full of lying and loneliness as it seems, Caitrin wants nothing to do with it. Riley (Annie Brennen), the ambitious aspiring actress, never planned on returning to the suburbs except for a quaint Christmas every couple of years between film shoots. Little did she know her dad would ask her to move back home to fill in for Mom. She's thinking about taking up yoga. Among the whitewashed fences, mailboxes, and manicured lawns, a despondent family deals with the drudgery of grief and their growing detachment to each other-- all through the eyes of their depressed dog, Leadbelly.
- "The screening event for a debut indie feature gets turbulent. Allie Viti and Zach Schiffman present "Blue Summer," a purported document of the technical and natural disasters that occur during the screening of their first feature film. Amongst a sold-out audience of eager indie film watchers, everything, hilariously, begins to go wrong. Video files fail, Q&A's meander, and, above all, NYPD reports the emergence of a sinkhole. Seemingly orchestrated, "Blue Summer" offers some cheeky jabs and observations on indie film scenes and their cultural display. With an entertaining fly-on-the-wall POV, the film also monumentalizes the essential NYC underground space, Life World, which recently announced the unfortunate news of its closure." -Jinho Myung, NoBudge.
