In the meantime, sexy cabaret singer-turned-spy Magda Onescu (Patricia Morison) acts as a double agent for both the Allies and the Communists, hoping to gain double profits by giving vital information to both sides.

- Lolita Moreno leaves the Mission San Juan Capistrano, where she has been raised by the Sisters and Father Vallejo under a mystery surrounding her family and goes to the Navajo Indian Reservation in Arizona to teach school. There she meets Navo White Eagle, who has just returned from Carlisle, and who plans to restore the reservation through irrigation and planting of citrus groves. Navo makes his goals and then discovers the land contains a tremendous copper lode which he intends to develop to help the tribe. Jim Connors, the white Indian agent, plans to steal it and, to get rid of Navo who is the only other one who knows about the copper, he murders an Indian named Yuba and blames it on Nova. Nova is given a trial by fire by the tribe and vindicated. Lorita rides to the Army post and gets the Colonel to arrest Connors and his henchman Morgan. Lorita learns that she is the daughter of the legendary Ramona and marries Navo, who is made agent for the reservation.
- Eddie and Soapy get to the bottom of a cattle rustling scheme by having two lookalikes switch places.
- The Cisco Kid and Pancho hold up a stagecoach and kidnap Ellen Roth. They take the girl, who is wanted on a murder charge, to the mission where Padre Angelo will look after her. She tells Cisco of a mysterious Doctor Willis who called on an aged woman she had been nursing and gave her an overdose of sleeping pills. Convinced that Ellen is innocent, Cisco sets out to prove it. He goes to Bill Hastings where he makes a deal to turn Ellen in if Cisco gets part of the money Hastings will inherit when she is convicted. With Ellen safely in jail, Cisco and Pancho force the local newspaper to run a story saying that Doc Willis has been apprehended. Hastings makes another deal with Cisco to kill Ellen before she testifies against Doc.
- Hauptkommissar/Chief Inspector Friedrich Naumann - played by old pro Paul Bildt, veteran actor of over 180 movies - operating in a Berlin still reeling from the immediate devastation WWII caused on all levels, attempts to break the most ruthless gang's grip upon the black market which is a necessary evil in this zero hour and brings the worst and the innocent into the same cauldron. Naumann targets the Club "Ali Baba" to strike a blow at its owner Goll (Harry Frank), the black market's kingpin, but one of Naumann's own men, Becker, is an informer blackmailed by Goll to keep him one step ahead of the law's movements. After the unsuccessful raid and the "official" closing of the file Naumann continues his investigations by himself, but as he gets too close to busting all up by finding evidences of irrefutable nature he is murdered. Not long and another Naumann enters the scene: Friedrich's PoW returned son Paul begins working as Goll's driver in the drug pusher gang. The different connections between gang leader/club owner Goll, sidekick and employee Yvonne (Nina Kosta), informant Heinz Becker (the blackmailed workmate of murdered Chief Inspector Naumann) and son Paul Naumann (approaching the moment he understands Goll brought about his father's death) provide tense levels of interaction. The police won't let it rest after Friedrich Naumann's murder and make a second attempt to raid the Ali Baba Club without Goll being tipped off this time and the police take him down with the gang.

- The Cisco Kid (Gilbert Roland) sets out on a double mission of rescuing a girl from forsaking her true love by marrying a supposedly wealthy suitor to save the old family hacienda, and he is also after the outlaws that robbed a stage carrying gold for the Mission. His task is made easier once he learns that the "wealthy" suitor (Tristram Coffin) is also the man behind the gold robbers.

He saves the life of Shorty Kendall, an unreconstructed rebel about to be hanged, and this wins him the gratitude of Belle Chambers, a widow whose husband was killed in the Civil War who hates all Yankees with a fever. It is she who heads the gang of Raiders, but Johnny soon proves she is a pawn of a conscienceless lawyer, Preston Durant, who is using Bell's raiders to cover up his own schemes. Reno Browne is on hand as Belle's daughter Lynne, billed as Reno Blair, as she always was in any film with Johnny Mack Brown.
