- When we meet the despondent and eccentric King of Shikharwati, he is living alone in the large palace with his trusted advisor Mishraji and a lean staff who are at the mercy of his idiosyncrasies. Alarm bells ring when King's lawyer Mr. Guleria comes bearing a Government notice to pay retrospective wealth tax of a whopping Rs 32 crore or give up the palace. Mishraji is worried, he knows he must act fast. But King is continuing to act childishly hopeless and hopelessly childish. Mishraji needs the King's four estranged daughters - the heiresses of Shikharwati - to return home and find a solution. He convinces King that this time, he has made such a foolproof plan, that the sisters will finally be re-united. King's eyes twinkle. He would love for his broken family to come back together. Mishraji sets out to meet the daughters. Luckily for Mishraji, he catches the four daughters - Devyani, Gayatri, Kamini and Uma - when they are each going through the lowest phase of their life. He presents each of them with a carrot - King has chosen a successor and wants to give her 200 crores in person. Down in the dumps in their own personal lives, they take the bait. With trepidation, the sisters return to their old home, and finally come face to face with each other and their father after 6 years. All hell breaks loose when Mishraji tells them that no successor has been chosen and they must compete with each other to win the prize money. The mention of a competition throws them into a rage. When they vehemently refuse to participate, King plays a trump card. He lies to his daughters that he is on his death-bed, and it is his dying wish that they play the Navrasa Royal Games one last time. Shocked at the revelation that their father might be dying, the daughters are rendered speechless. Mishraji is sure now the daughters have no option but to stay back.
- The episode opens in the past. We get to know why the daughters reacted angrily at the mention of the competition. Twenty years ago, when Rani Mrinalini passed away, King had devised the Junior Royal Games - to distract his daughters from their grief. What started as the family's attempt to cope with loss, soon turned into a hateful rivalry between the sisters. After years of trying to win against each other, at a party the sisters had publicly humiliated each other. Things got out of hand, and they finally left the palace and each other, vowing never to return. In the present day, now back together at the palace for the first time since that party, they are haunted by bitter-sweet memories of each other and of their mother. Mishraji meanwhile comes up with a fictitious name for the King's fictitious disease - Cardio Solitudinem Intermissimitis. The Navras Royal Games begin. The first round is a cooking challenge ala Masterchef - spontaneously titled Shanti Ras. The competition brings a win for Uma, but it ends in a bitter squabble between the sisters. Kamini calls Uma weak and pitiful, Uma berates Gayatri for having abandoned her. Finally Devyani loses her cool and calls out each of her sisters' weaknesses. Reminiscent of the dreadful party 6 years ago, she once again leaves the palace dramatically, hatefully telling the King there is no place for him in her life. The family is broken again. King reprimands Mishraji for having made a failing plan. The twist in the tale occurs when Devyani, back home in Mumbai, realises that her husband Harsh, is not cheating on her; instead he is broke, and to top it, he has borrowed money from a Don who is threatening to kill him if he doesn't return the money. Devyani needs to swallow her pride and return to Shikharwati with a strategy to win the Navrasa Royal Games.
- A group of villagers spearheaded by a concerned young man Veer Singh, warn the King that the villagers of Shikharwati are being courted by the neighbouring kingdom of Mewar where a heritage hotel has been built. Veer urges King to do something for the villagers who need employment pronto. Meanwhile, as a reward for winning the Masterchef game, Uma earns a 'mann ki baat' (a heart to heart) with her father, during which King offers to fund her game without participating in the competition to be King. A proud and defensive Uma refuses his help and instead chooses to fight her sisters in the Royal Games. The invite for the next Royal Game is sent out. It is a stage play performance where the winner will be the one who makes the villagers laugh the hardest - Hasya Ras. Kamini, whose social media following is now down to zero thanks to a viral meme, meets the intense and dynamic Veer Singh, who makes a lasting impression on her. The stage play begins. King and the 3 daughters can't believe what they are seeing - Mishraji has orchestrated a re-enactment of the terrible incident at the party 6 years ago. Mishraji is somewhat saved from the King's ire when, suddenly, Devyani appears on the scene, dressed to participate in the stage play. Everyone is shocked. Devyani however has come back with a plan. Instead of participating in the stage play, she converts it into a roast on the King. One by one, they begin to make embarrassing jokes about him and garnering laughs from the villagers. Devyani cinches victory, but the real winner, as Gayatri's adopted daughter Padma puts it, is the King. Seeing his daughters re-unite even momentarily against him, makes him feel he still save his family, if he continues to remain the villain for a little longer. Somewhere on a lonely road, unknown to the royals, somebody is planning to take down Shikharwati. It is revealed that the King is hiding jewels and wealth inside the palace, and there is a man out to get it.
- Yesterday's Hasya Ras game, has ignited a new sense of excitement in the King who orchestrates the next Navras - the Bhayanak Ras. King has set up a plan to scare his daughters in the large palace, by recreating a horror night. His hope is that a common fear of darkness will bring his daughters close to each other. He is right. Scared out of their wits, the sisters find themselves holding each other. But the moment is broken by the arrival of Roop Singh - the handsome prince of the neighbouring village of Mewar. Roop has come on the pretext of checking in on the King's health, but the King suspects his intentions from the get go. He has always distrusted the untrustworthy Raja Bhanwar Singh of Mewar, who is believes is poaching his subjects. Over a game of chess, Devyani asks the King to help Harsh with money. But King advises her to win the money by winning the Royal Games. Characteristically, Devyani gets angry but King is not affected by his eldest daughter's dramatic exits anymore. Soon enough, the daughters realise that the ghostly experience of last night was nothing but a planned Navrasa round. They now have a chance to have a combined mann-ki-baat in which they will be allowed to ask one common question to the King. King and Mishraji are hopeful that thrown together to come up with one question, the daughters will re-unite. Predictably, however, the sisters end up locking horns. Gayatri is cornered by her sisters for having continued to visit the palace even though all of them had decided never to. Devyani is chided for being an old-school bully. Kamini is called immature. Uma tells Kamini that she was the one who had made the hateful viral meme on her. Once again the plan to bring them close fails. Mishraji is getting quite worried. Time is running out and he urges King to let him tell the princesses about the tax problem. King however, rejects the idea. Instead, he declares that the Royal Games will go on.
- The sisters' failure to come up with a question together results in each of them losing a point from the scoreboard, much to their dislike. The next game of Navrasa Royal Games begins - The Adbhut Rasa. It is truly an adbhut one - with four tasks in one each based on the elements of nature - Wind, Earth, Water and Fire. Over the course of the tasks, Uma's continuous refusal of help offered by Gayatri results in Padma-Dhanur's intervention. This however takes a dramatic turn when a struggling Kamini loses her temper and calls Padma and Dhanur servants. It sends Gayatri into a fury. Kamini regrets her words, but the deed is done. During the Fire round, a moment of sisterly concern flickers among the other three when they realise they could lose Kamini in a fire. In the nick of time and as if on cue, a valiant Veer Singh comes rushing to her rescue. Kamini is saved, and the chemistry between her and Veer is further ignited. Slowly but surely, the sisters have begun to inch closer together. King beams when he sees Uma hug Gayatri and her children. To add to the madness, Devyani's husband Harsh arrives at the palace with their twins. The arrival of the twins makes Padma and Dhanur question if they, being adopted children, are as much 'Shikharwati' as Devyani's kids. Gayatri painfully reveals to them they are her own children, whom she had abandoned for a couple of years after birth. She goes on to serenade her children with her mother's favourite lullaby. The beautiful melody falls on the delighted ears of the King, even Mishraji reminds him of the looming tax problem. By this point King truly believes "Kuch bhi hai mumkin". He invites the entire village to the palace the next day, to celebrate Holi.
- The next morning, King wakes up from a nightmare - Shikharwati is in shambles. Mishraji is taking tourists past the land, calling the erstwhile Raja a fool. Veer Singh and other villagers are up in arms against the King. King is shook, and angry with Mishraji. Mishraji of course, has no idea why. Kamini is confused about how to make up for her blunder of having called Padma and Dhanur servants. But she soon realises she doesn't need to do much more than say a heartfelt sorry. The children forgive her effortlessly. Feeling empowered, she approaches Uma to make another meme on her to make up for the mean viral meme she made earlier. In a heartening warm moment, she reminds Uma of their childhood camaraderie, while Uma in turn reminds Kamini that as a child she was independent and talented but she seems to have now lost her way. Still reminiscing her childhood days, Uma happens to mention a secret room to Roop Singh. It seems to pique his interest. King continues to snub Mishraji for having called him a fool in his nightmare. Holi celebrations begin at the palace, and the Queen's famous Holi pooja is conducted by the four sisters in tandem. Elsewhere, tax officials discuss an infamous officer who has been given the task of digging out hidden wealth by Raja Mrityunjay of Shikharwati.
- Roop the IT officer speculates where the King may have hidden the undisclosed treasure. Meanwhile, Devyani continues her cold treatment to Gayatri. Mishraji's invite for the next round of games reaches them. In the game of Shringar Ras, Kamini finally wins her first round. She is overjoyed and arrives for her stipulated mann-ki-baat with the King. But she is taken aback when she finds Veer Singh informing King that he is leaving for Mewar, as he sees no future for himself in Shikharwati. Guilting of having inadvertently hurt Veer, she wants to apologise, but cannot. Kamini and King have a heart to heart conversation about love, family and the Queen.
- With only two days left to pay the retrospective wealth tax, Mishraji raises an alarm, urging King once again to tell the daughters the truth, now that they are seem to be coming together. King however is being his stubborn self. He wants to be convinced that his daughters are finally re-united forever. An irritated Mishraji tries to push him further, but King refuses to budge. Mishraji has no option but to set up the next Navrasa Game - The Veer Ras. Each daughter is sent into a room which holds their most deep seated fears and anxieties. Devyani must learn to overcome her obsession with perfection. Gayatri must overcome her fear of dogs. Kamini must overcome her fear of loneliness. Uma must overcome her social anxiety. The one who can stay in the room the longest and face her fear, will win the round. It is Gayatri who comes out a winner. But not for long. Devyani confronts Gayatri for having left her out of the most important events of her life - the birth of her children. We realise that Devyani's anger with Gayatri comes from a place of sisterly love. Gayatri is glad she didn't contact Devyani, because she is sure she would have been disappointed with the new judgmental and perfectionist woman she had become. With tears in their eyes, they bear their anger and pain to each other. Meanwhile, over dinner King plays father for the first time - admiring each of his daughters for how much they have grown during the course of the games. For the first time since they arrived, the sisters' eyes reflect love and camaraderie instead of competition. The moment is broken by an unknown man sitting at the table, pointing a gun at the King. The family is shocked.
- Roop Singh waits for his team to arrive. Meanwhile, Mishraji's worries have hit the roof, as this is the last day of tax payment. King though cares two hoots about the tax, and the next round of Navrasa Game is announced. It is a treasure hunt. Through the game, the sisters compete with clues that take them to their favourite childhood memories. Just when the game is nearing an end, Uma happens to have a massive fall. Concerned for their baby sister who is breaking into hives and is having an allergy attack, the other three abandon the game and rush to her rescue. The sisters have finally chosen each other over the competition. King realises his broken family is finally together, and the time is now, to tell them the truth. Ironically, before he can say anything, Roop Singh arrives with his team of officers, to raid the palace. The daughters are shocked to know that their father is in a debt of 32 crores and there was nothing to win. They feel cheated at having been made to compete for nothing. Roop and his team set out to find the secret room. He is right, the treasure is after all hidden in the secret room, where now, the four sisters are huddled together, crying, reconnecting, re-discovering their love for each other. Roop barges into the room, and the treasure is taken out. It is a large chest of the Queen's jewellery. Roop thinks he has finally nabbed the King, but alas, the treasure is fake. On cue, King's lawyer Guleria arrives with a stay order from the court. King announces that he has decided to convert Shikharwati into a heritage hotel, and all his villagers will be the employees. Mishraji and Veer are relieved and happy. But the daughters know their father will need help. Devyani makes a call. Harsh arrives, with a cheque of 20 crores from the King's new investor - none other that the Don.
