- Naoko Tanaka is a 26-year-old office lady. Her job is typical, but her workplace has fierce fights among different cliques. Other office ladies are absorbed in the daily clique fighting. One day, due to an office lady at the company, Naoko's company is targeted by office lady from all over Japan.
- A male bargoer and a bar hostess talk about that the story of the worst day in someone's life at Shimokitazawa, Tokyo.
- A new movie director attempts to make a documentary about a Japanese actress/model who is returning to her hometown of Hong Kong. He is seen struggling with his efforts to edit his film shoots while the audience gets to see his video segments. At times the actress is cooperative at other times she is really difficult. The audience is also introduced to the city of Hong Kong by way of the narrative of the documentary so far. Then suddenly the actress is kidnapped in front of the director while at a film shoot. At the same time, he encounters a strange woman who insists that he should know her. Both the director and strange woman then have their own stories to tell about what they have experienced. The strange Japanese woman has come to Hong Kong to meet with her date that she arranged on-line. The movie then proceeds to reveal a confounding amount of mysterious hints as to the many questions being raised as to what is going on.
- If actresses Hirosue Ryoko, Igawa Haruka and Saito Yuki chose different paths at the turning point in their lives, what kind of life would they be leading? In this world, Hirosue did not appear in the big 1997 drama hit, Beach Boys, with Sorimachi Takashi and Takenouchi Yutaka and suddenly rise to fame. She is a struggling actress in her mid 30s who gets by on part-time housekeeping work and cannot bear to give up being an actress. Hirosue fantasies about newly married life with a handsome guy and is jealous of successful actress Takeuchi Yuko who is the same age. Although she struggles alone, she works hard at her housekeeping job every day. On the other hand, Igawa did not put out the photo book 'Good Vibrations' at that time and has been completely forgotten now after the end of the boom of "soothing" models. She dates actor Fujiki Naohito in an unexpected turn of events. Even though she has a taste of this little happiness, she starts to grow impatient when the relationship fails to progress toward marriage. Igawa impulsively tries to make a transition to acting despite being over 40 but - Saito was afraid to spoil her pure idol image and did not star in Sukeban Deka in 1985. She ended up a one-hit wonder and faded away. To regain her teenage years, she attends university and majors in physics with the aspiration to graduate as a female scientist. She mixes with youth around 20 and joins matchmaking parties, making the most of student life. At night, Saito runs a popular bar that even the actress Kaho patronises.
- There is little strange or unusual about a man who has fallen for a girl. It is strange, however, when the man begins following the schoolgirl he likes only to wake up one morning and find out that he has literally become the object of his affection. He, er she, does not know what to do, how to behave and how to react.
- Bodies have switched and a boy is a girl, but that is only the beginning. There are new (old) friends to deal with, new (old) situations to handle and it seems like everyone is looking at the new Mari with surprise, anger or wonder. The new Mari is trying to adapt and figure it all out. It is not easy when everything is new all the time.
- Mari and Yori investigate the switched bodies and observe Isao at his apartment. Yori has discovered a secret. They end up taking the bull by the horn and make their way inside his room and get sidetracked cleaning and playing video games. Mari's parents are worried and attempt to speak with her. Unhappy with the situation Mari's (Isao's) feelings boil over and she dives into a sexual fantasy involving Isao and Mari when a surprise calls comes in.
- 'Mari' takes sides between Yori and Momoka and the other girls. She reveals that the real Mari had called her on the phone yesterday. Mari visits Isao and surprises him. He is happy to see her and excuses himself to the washroom. Mari finds no shame in what he is doing and asks him to do it in front of her while looking at her.
- She refuses when the boy professes his love and asks the girl to go out with him. She is unsure who she is or what her nature is. Then another call comes from Mari and from an unknown number. At the same time, Mari shows what she thinks of Yori both in-person and when the friend is missing.
- Mari finds Yori and everything seems okay again, but an old photograph and a trip to the fun fair surface old and obscured memories involving a grandmother to the surface. Could the old Mari not even be Mari to begin with? Mari's mother is not helpful and instead is cagey.
- Mari is unresponsive and catatonic. Yori forces her way into Mari's house and room to see her and is successful compelling Mari's mother to confess to what had transpired. Isao has a job hoping that the new initiative and effort shall lead to Mari looking at him favourably. A conversation with Yori does not end well.
- Mari and Yori look to resolve the mystery of the switches bodies and identities after getting their hands on Isao's diary. The girls leave Tokyo to visit Isao who has returned to his hometown. Mari collapses, but is awakened to hear a message of hope.
