- One day, the current prime minister of Japan, Muto Taizan, and his useless son, Sho, suddenly discover that they have switched bodies. With no known cause or solution at hand, Sho reluctantly ends up appearing in the Diet on his father's behalf. But he completely cannot follow the deliberations as well as the questions and answers because it has been his routine to skip his studies. He is also repeatedly caught making childish responses or misreading kanji in documents. However, untainted by the adult world, Sho's straightforward opinions and genuine feelings start to mobilise the Diet and the public. On the other hand, Taizan has to lead the life of a university student and search for a job on behalf of his son, but with the brains of a prime minister. He refutes arrogant interviewers with his overwhelming knowledge and debating skills. Although Taizan wins the war of words, he is an absolute failure in the interviews itself. Furthermore, several peculiar girls whom Sho has had relationships with appear and makes Taizan more bewildered.
- 30-year-old Makoto Miki is an ordinary housewife struggling with housework and childbearing, but she has always believed in the importance of managing the household over looking beautiful so that her husband, Atsushi can go out to work without any worries. However, his infidelity spurs her to make up her mind to search for her "self" and become beautiful. Choosing the path of an amateur model, she steps into a modeling world that is more rough than she had imagined. She keeps having internal conversations with herself as she regains her lost beauty.
- Taizan Muto have had some troubles one after another since he became prime minister of Japan. His son Sho lives easily as a lazy student of a university. One day, Taizan and Sho exchange their minds, and end up in each other's bodies supernaturally. Two of them confess the truth to Taizan's secretary Kaibara and Chief Cabinet Secretary Kariya.
- Sho in Taizan's body has to negotiate with the president of a rare metal producing country to import it, but he doesn't feel like doing anything. Taizan in Sho's body has to think of a way to give his motivation.
- Taizan and Sho found that they have microchips embedded into their mouths to control their brains according to the report from the Public Security Bureau. Taizan suspects that his political enemy Kuramoto must have attempted this plot.
- Taizan and Sho learned that Kuramoto and his daughter Erika are in the same situation, then, Taizan decides that he teams up with Kuramoto to find the mastermind of this disturbance.
- The chairman of an educational place for children with school refusal, Kurokawa, seems to be involved in this disturbance according to the report from the Public Security Bureau. Sho gets a shock because he and Mai had worked at the place as volunteers.
- Someone started to run a smear campaign with some photos of Taizan and Sho who exchanged bodies. Two of them could return to their own bodies temporarily, and they try to do things what they should now everything they have.
- Sho in Taizan's body was shot by an assassin to protect Mai. Taizan suspects that the mastermind is the opposite party leader Fuyujima, and he and Kuramoto begin to investigate him by themselves.
- Finally, Taizan and Sho returned to their bodies. However, Japanese Diet passed a vote of nonconfidence in the Cabinet. And, a good secretary Kaibara left them. How do they get over a crisis?
