- The Aegean In The Words Of The Poets Lucia Rikaki / Greece / 61 mins / English / 2006 Trailer Synopsis A film travel based on texts of travel writers and poets from all over the world who visited and wrote about the archipelago in the last centuries In these texts, poems and travel notes from the travel literature books of most writers who visited the Aegean in many different periods in time and felt the need to convey their emotions inspired by the archipelago. We see a very vivid description of the very same emotions that this sea still offers to the visitor. These texts are revealing in the sense that apart from their literature value they form a complexity of impressions felt by travellers in the archipelago over the centuries. Different opinions, meanings and textual forms blend into a common experience of the archipelago as it is being performed in several languages. A way to get to know the archipelago for the young traveler, a way to appreciate and discover more for the older traveller who will visit again some of the locations and look at them in a possibly different spirit.

She and her deaf mother articulately express two generations fight to be heard. The film is based on strong stories with important emotional value as told by deaf people in sign language. The films pace and rhythm refers to the pace of sign language- a fast expressive vivid language full of beauty and energy.

- Humor, especially British humor, isn't always entertaining. Many times it is bitter, dry, dramatic, political, politically unorthodox, subversive, offensive, emotional, irrational and not necessarily funny. Comedians, standing up in a room full of strangers and basically creating a show out of words, improvisations and nothing else, can be characterized by someone sane as either incredibly brave or just show-offs. In the end, the audience that comes to this show knowing beforehand that it demands and pays to laugh, is the strictest judge and the most willing lover, both at the same time. Does humor travel? And if it does, what language does it speak? And if it has a language, what is its nationality?
- A film about a very special school.
