Her world is shattered as the deep red of the Mehendi that still decorating her hands turns into a deadly shade of white. However, Simran is determined to take care of the family. Despite financial hardships, her two brother-in-laws get married to their respective girlfriends. These wives start to create a rift in the family causing the foundation of the family to crack. Simran and her father-in-law are completely ostracized from the family. With the help of their family friend Besant Singh (Vinod Khanna), Simran starts to regain all that she had lost. Does Simran have the strength to reunite her family? Will she be able to fulfil her promise to her husband or regain all that she lost?

The scientist's karate-learning sons, Desh and Vijay, are separated from each other and their mother. Vjay grows up with his karate instructor while Desh is reared by a gypsy camp. She immediately recognizes Kundecha and follows his instructions. Kundecha is fascinated by her beauty, and in his haste to depart, he leaves a package behind. Sandhya picks it up and takes it home, only to have a rat gnaw through it and die. Her husband Prakash recognizes that it's cocaine and reports it to the police. The next day the police officer disappears; Kundecha would like Sandhya to have sex with him--if not, her family will be killed. Faced with these dire prospects, Prakash, Sandhya, their daughter Munni, and Prakash's unmarried brother must decide what's best for the family.
