Komal leaves her husband with her father. She delivers a baby boy but Yashpal wants to make sure that the one thing that can bring his daughter and Suraj together be eliminated immediately. He hires hit men to kill the baby but Suraj manages to get away with his son. They move to a unknown place and he raises his son with help from the villagers. Suraj later meets Vaijanti (Shilpa Shetty), an eccentric fisher woman who his son sees as a mother and friend. Vaijanti begins to love Suraj and hopes that he feels the same way. Komal, depressed and lonely, spots her son with Suraj. Then begins a bitter custody battle between her and Suraj.

- After the passing of Ramswaroop Lal, his two sons, Jeevandas and Shankar take over the control of their farmland. When Shyam returns, he falls in love with Neelima, and then begin a series of misunderstandings and disagreements which result in the house being divided in two - with Jeevandas, Bhagvanti, Shyam, Navrangi, and Neelima on one side, and Govind, his wife, Radha, Shankar, and Parvati on the other. Navrangi borrows money from Bhagvanti and invests it in a Carnival, however, most of his earnings are stolen by two dancers, Jati and Sati. He then borrows more money, this time from Shyam, and purchases an elephant. Govind and Radha rejoice when they give birth to normal son, Navjeevandas Lal. Weeks later, Navrangi plans a novel move with his carnival, that is to have the elephant throw a child from it's trunk - and the child he plans to use is none other than Govind's son. Watch what impact this has on the entire family when they find out that Navjeevandas has been abducted.

Old wounds surface, and Sitaram will have nothing to do with his granddaughter, who has brought a special gift for her granddad, from her dad. But Sitaram will not accept this gift, until and unless his son himself comes to deliver it to him, and it is then he comes to know the truth behind his son's absence.
