- Shotaro Ikenami's historical novel series of the Baian Fujieda, on which this film is based, is a blockbuster bestseller with a total of over 6 million copies in print and has been made into a timeless entertainment TV series, Tele Features and Films many times. Bond, Bauer, Born, and now Baian in Japan as a dark hero with two faces: he is a skilled acupuncturist who saves lives, and he is an assassin who buries evil that cannot be kept alive for the sake of people. In 2023, the 100th anniversary of Shotaro Ikenami, a new feature "Baian The Assassin, M.D." is born. Baian Fujieda, an acupuncturist living in Shinagawa-Daimachi on the outskirts of Edo, has two faces. One is his front face as a skilled acupuncturist, and the other is his back face as a ruthless trapper who buries in the dark those whom he does not want to live. One day, Baian visits a restaurant and gasps when he sees the face of Okami, the target of the plot. It was a meeting that reminded Baian of his dark past. How will Baian's mission really end?
