Gotham Knights (2023)
A treat!
I thoroughly enjoyed the pilot and I am eagerly looking forward to the rest of the season. The acting was phenomenal (don't listen to numpties downvoting who hated it before filming even began).
I came for Misha and Dent/Two Face (and I am super excited to see how he portrays the character), but I'm already in love with Duela, she's sooo good!
I don't understand why people can't just let things be not for them. This show is so far quick and witty, and I love the diversity in the characters and how they are handled - the anti woke crowd being one of this shows faction of haters.
I for one am looking forward to a fun ride!
The Winchesters: Hang On to Your Life (2023)
An absolutely beautiful performance at the end!
The absolutely beautiful performance by Jojo Fleites (Carlos) of Hard Times Come Again No More, at the end of this ep is worth the watch alone, they are such a talent! But the ep itself is a mastery. With Richard Speight Jr. Returning as Loki (and Gabriel) and the big reveal at the end! I knew we'd see Dean again! And Louden Swain playing the band ( I see you Chuck! Or Rob? Who knows, but we'll find out)
I Loved every minute of this episode. I can't wait to see what next week brings as exactly what is going on begins to reveal itself. How is Dean in a photo in 1972? Why is he there? Who is the Akrida Queen? This world is in incredibly capable hands.
The Winchesters: Legend of a Mind (2022)
They keep getting better!
Its all about the trauma. These characters have all been through such traumatic lives to date and the toll that takes is staggering. This show and the actors are all handling its portrayal with skill and heart.
I am also loving all the frying pan to the head parallels to Dean and Cas from OG SPN, between John and Mary, Lata and Tony, and more. So much was missed in the subtlety and snails pace of character development in the mothership that its nice to see all the overt, do you see this? Do you? It's right here.
This episode did an excellent job of advancing the overall arc of the Akrida and pushing the characters forward as well. Loved it and can't wait to see what's next!
The Winchesters: You're Lost Little Girl (2022)
Super creepy episode!
Loved this episode. A really creepy one, and some bad ass little kids too. Too bad Bernice! Things are beginning to build as we learn more about the Akrida. Excited to discover what Roxy's story is. There are lots of wonderful parallels to the mothership that are busy slapping us in the face as we go through. And did I spot a Dean faced something or other in the creature's lair?
Interesting addition of Betty and who is this random guy at the movie theatre, I think we will see him again.
Lata is hiding some big secrets it seems and as always loved Carlos.
Overall a great spooky episode with a creepy motw!
The Winchesters: Teach Your Children Well (2022)
Now its getting started!
A great second episode for this prequel. I am enjoying very much delving into the heads of these characters, especially the new ones. I am looking forward to seeing how Lata, Carlos, and Ada will develop over the course of the series; I live them all already. The conscious effort to make Mary and Carlos mirrors for Dean, while John and Lata, are mirrors for Sam is fantastic. The narrative parallels were a staple of the OG SPN and it is so fitting that we continue to learn so much about the story, the world, and its characters through this method of storytelling. I do suspect there'll be a lot less subtle parallels and story arcs as well.
The Winchesters: Pilot (2022)
What a great start!
Loved every minute! This is a fantastic start to the new Supernatural story and I am so excited to see where this story is taking us. The young cast already have such great chemistry and I can see so much of Sam in young John and Dean in young Mary. Latika and Carlos are also excellent!! Love them both already. And I am so happy to see Dean Winchester once again on my screen. The overall arch so far is intriguing, the characters are well defined and I'm enjoying intrigued by all the possibilities. Jensen, Robbie, Danneel and team have done an amazing job. I Can't wait until ep. 2! It's going to be a wild ride :)
Bridgewater (2021)
Spooky with an awesome cast!
I'm so excited for season two of this podcast. This spooky story gripped attention from episode one and held it right up until the last action packed episode. Love all the characters, especially Vipin. But everyone is fantastic!
Supernatural: Carry On (2020)
Like the 325 episodes between the pilot and this finale never even happened.
Circular story telling only works if the characters started out in a good place. These brothers started out alone and they ended alone. They found family and this finale ripped them all away. It reduced Dean to Beer, pie, and car. Just utterly pitiful excuse of a finale. What happened to the Empty being loud? Why is Sam given a blurry wife? Ugh.
Roadfood (2021)
Empathy and food!
Misha is his adorable self as he connects with people everywhere he goes in a mission to build empathy through food and culture. Every episode is a delight and highlights different regions and people and the food that brings them together. Misha is on a journey to understand people. Wonderful.
