While we start talking about this newly launched show, we should tell you a lesson we learnt. The lesson is not to pre-judge anything in the entertainment world and give everything a fair chance with a clean slate. The comedy circle on TV and small screens in the recent times has not been very exciting so I never planned to watch Laughter Chefs.
But guess what? I happened to watch it yesterday along with my Mom, and I could review this in one word – Fun. The show hosted by Bharti Singh is an absolutely hilarious ride with celebs from the television world putting up a great effort to bring a great show.
For those, who have come late like me, Laughter Chefs has already aired two episodes of the first season and it...

Why Real Housewives Of New Jersey Won’t Have A Traditional Reunion For Season 14? Learn Here(Photo Credit –Bravo/Facebook)
For the first time in the history of the East Coast-based reality show, The Real Housewives of New Jersey will not have a traditional reunion this season, unlike the previous ones. Season 14 of the show will end with an unresolved note for many cast members and not with a reunion episode.
This came following the fractured season of Rhonj and longstanding rifts between co-stars, including Melissa Gorga, Teresa Giudice, Rachel Fuda, Margaret Josephs, Dolores Catania, Danielle Cabral, Jennifer Aydin, Jackie Goldschneider, and Jenn Fessler. The conflict between the co-stars also led to split panels at BravoCon over the past two years, which caused the network to reject the reunion. Also, the season’s central conflict revolves around housewives and sisters-in-law Teresa and Melissa. Both haven’t interacted in the entire season until the dramatic finale,...

The Rolling Stones and Marilyn Manson are very different artists, but they both aesthetically allude to Satanism. The Rolling Stones used devilish imagery multiple times, while Manson is a Satanist. In his autobiography, the “Antichrist Superstar” singer said a lyric from one Rolling Stones song could have been his motto. That’s debatable!
Marilyn Manson named the Satanic Rolling Stones song that could’ve been his credo
Manson is the most famous living member of the Church of Satan. In his 1998 book The Long Hard Road Out of Hell, Manson discussed his place within the religion. “No mainstream rock musician has advocated Satanism in any lucid, intelligent, accessible way since perhaps The Rolling Stones, who in ‘Monkey Man’ came up with a line that could have been my credo, ‘Well I hope we’re not too messianic / Or a trifle too Satanic,'” he said. “The day I became a...

Dev Patel’s directorial debut Monkey Man is getting the full physical media treatment in the UK: more details here.
Dev Patel’s directorial debut, Monkey Man, appeared in cinemas earlier this year, having had a bit of a journey to get there. Originally a project that was being backed by Netflix, the streaming giant opted to pull the plug on the movie, leaving the film in limbo. In stepped Jordan Peele, who brought the project in under his umbrella at Universal Pictures, and a film that was originally destined for streaming was upgraded to a full cinema release.
It thus landed in cinemas earlier this year, and now Universal is giving Monkey Man the full physical media treatment as well. The movie has been confirmed for release in the UK on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray.

When Netflix launched "The Witcher" back in 2019, it was the streamer's attempt to kickoff a big fantasy franchise on the level with "Game of Thrones" or "Lord of the Rings." The move made sense. After all, not only are the "Witcher" video games very popular, but the Andrzej Sapkowski books they're based on offer a unique and different perspective on fantasy than other mainstream titles thanks to their Slavic mythology influence. This means the "Witcher" TV series and its spinoffs have a lot of rich source material to take inspiration from and change as they deem fit (something the main "Witcher" show has done a lot in the past). Netflix's "The Witcher" was also a huge hit, with the first season gifting us a viral hit song in "Toss a Coin to Your Witcher."

Jason Cloth, a Canadian financier with executive producer credits on dozens of films such as Joker, Licorice Pizza and the upcoming Mission: Impossible movie, is out as co-head of C2 Motion Picture Group as he fields allegations of fraud on a number of projects.
The announcement that Cloth stepped down, made on Tuesday, comes less than a week after a Florida jury found that he defrauded an investor out of millions of dollars for the production of a slate of movies, including Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Monkey Man and NBA docuseries The Pathway. Cloth, who didn’t mount a defense in the trial, was ordered to pay roughly $19.6 million. Since 2021, he and his former financing company Creative Wealth Media have been named in at least four lawsuits, two of which have since been voluntarily dismissed, accusing him of making false statements to solicit investments and loans that he allegedly failed to repay.

Jerry Seinfeld’s highly touted (and largely panned) feature directorial debut, “Unfrosted,” spent four days leading Netflix’s top 10 movie chart before another Netflix original, “Mother of the Bride” starring Brooke Shields, took the slot before the thematically appropriate weekend holiday.
“Unfrosted” led for just four days, with “Shrek” from 2001 leading midweek before the debut of “Bride.” The Dreamworks animated classic is still in second place, while Seinfeld’s Pop-Tarts comedy dropped to fourth.
“Bride” comes from director Mark Waters. Perhaps best known for his “Freaky Friday” remake and the original “Mean Girls,” Waters went on to direct “The Spiderwick Chronicles,” “Vampire Academy,” and “Bad Santa 2.” In the new rom-com, Shields is a mom who realizes the father of her future son-in-law broke her heart decades ago.

A seven-member jury found that Cloth defrauded an investor on “The Pathway,” a TNT docuseries about the NBA draft, out of $6.6 million. The jury also awarded $13 million in punitive damages.
Cloth is also facing a class action suit in Chicago, where is accused of defrauding investors on “Ghostbusters: Afterlife,” “Monkey Man” and other films out of more than $80 million.
“He’s made a career of telling people whatever they want to hear in order to get what he wants,” said attorney David Jonelis, who represented the plaintiff in the Florida case.
At the two-day trial, Jonelis presented evidence that Cloth had solicited the investment on “The Pathway” by claiming that it had been greenlit for five seasons.

Dev Patel’s seething directorial debut joins a thriving genre, from the bloody violence of Tarantino and John Wick to the comic rage of The First Wives Club
In real life, most of us don’t get that many opportunities to exact revenge on someone. A passive-aggressive comeback maybe, but that’s not quite the same. In the movies, however, as in Greek mythology, vengeance is one of the driving forces of storytelling: revenge films, both aggressively bloody and more benign, provide cathartic wish-fulfilment for our own petty grievances and unsettled scores. In Dev Patel’s seething directorial debut Monkey Man, the quest is familiar – as his streetwise hero seeks retribution for his mother’s murder – but the sheer gusto of his vengeance is invigorating, down to driving a dagger into a villain’s throat with his teeth.

The goat is him. That sounds a little strange, but that’s what has happened with the title of the upcoming Jordan Peele-produced horror movie. Once titled Goat (as in “greatest of all time”), the movie has since been retitled Him. It, too, has been given an official release date of September 19th, 2025.
Him was announced earlier this year, a few months before the most recent Jordan Peele production, Monkey Man, hit theaters. With that movie doing well with critics, Universal and Monkeypaw Productions are putting even more stock in him.
Him, which has been described as “an anti-sports horror movie”, was actually part of the 2022 Black List, the annual survey which reveals the best unproduced screenplays of any given year. Then known as Goat, Him has the following plot, as per The Black List: “A promising first-round draft pick is invited to train at the private compound of...

Monkeypaw Productions’ of Justin Tipping’s Him will hit theaters on Friday, Sept. 19, 2025. Currently, it’s the only wide release on that weekend. That’s the second Universal title on the calendar for that month next year after Gabby’s Dollhouse on Sept. 26.
Him comes from the Black List screenplay by Zack Akers & Skip Bronkie (creators of the sci-fi crime series Limetown) and follows a promising young football player, who is invited to train at the isolated compound of a dynasty team’s aging QB1.
Marlon Wayans stars as the legendary quarterback, and former college athlete Tyriq Withers plays his protégé. Pic also stars Julia Fox, Tim Heidecker, comedian Jim Jefferies (The Jim Jefferies Show), and hip hop phenoms Guapdad 4000 and Grammy nominee Tierra Whack, both in their feature film debuts.
Him is produced by Ian Cooper, Jordan Peele (Nope, Get Out), Win Rosenfeld and Jamal M. Watson for Monkeypaw Productions and is executive produced by David Kern (The Bikeriders, Flamin’ Hot) and Monkeypaw’s Kate Oh.
Monkeypaw currently has the Dev Patel feature, Monkey Man, in theaters where it has grossed over $33M worldwide.

(Welcome to Under the Radar, a column where we spotlight specific movies, shows, trends, performances, or scenes that caught our eye and deserved more attention ... but otherwise flew under the radar. In this edition: the haunting genre-bender "The Beast," the farcical indie "Hundreds of Beavers," and HBO's "The Sympathizer" all stand out as clear highlights.)
Buckle up, folks: The theme of this month's edition of "Under the Radar" falls under the category of weird and wild.
More so than in previous years, this past April marked something of an awkward transition point in the overall release calendar. While Oscar season is well and truly behind us, the summer blockbuster season still remains a few weeks away from truly ramping up in earnest. Sure, the one-two punch of "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes" and "Furiosa" technically kick off the festivities in short order, but June and July are when the real heavy-hitters -- hello,...

The Austin-based SXSW festival is landing in London from 2025. More on the festival’s expansion below.
We’re lucky to have a lot of great festivals, big and small, all around the UK. Granted, a lot of them are London-based – and sure enough, it’s just been announced that the capital is about to add another major arts festival to its roster.
Starting from June 2025, the Austin-based SXSW festival will begin a special London edition. Variety reports that the event will be “the mix of keynotes conversations, film and TV events, music showcases and showcases for innovations in digital and gaming that have defined SXSW since the festival began in 1987.”
SXSW isn’t the first international festival to land in London. Sundance holds its own London festival in June as well, so we’ll see if it’ll have to move to a later date to accommodate for SXSW.

Theaters are in a slump longer than they should be. The last five weekends averaged about $70 million total, while in 2019, the same five weekends with lower ticket prices averaged $190 million. That means success in VOD revenue is all that more important for studios. Even so, on the two top 10 lists from iTunes (ranking by transactions) and Fandango (by revenue), half the slots are taken by companies other than the usual top five.
Results overall reflect the cutback in releases due to last year’s strikes, some longer windows for bigger-grossing studio releases, and, in most cases, a weaker response to other films that made little theatrical impact. All that made it easy for “Dune: Part Two” (Warner Bros.), by far the year’s biggest hit, to repeat as #1 on both charts for the third week. And that’s with a higher price than usual.

Dev Patel, who will receive Gold House’s A1 honor in entertainment and media, spent over six years bringing “Monkey Man” to the big screen, and it wasn’t an easy journey for the actor turned writer-director.
“Monkey Man” was initially set to shoot in India, but filming was delayed due to the pandemic. At one point, the production was almost shelved. Patel ended up shooting on location in Indonesia.
Along the way, Jordan Peele saw the film and became attached as a producer. “I’ve felt that being called ‘niche’ is a compliment, actually,” Monkey Man star Sobhita Dhulipala tells Deadline.
It is nighttime in India when we catch up with the star, and we are discussing a recent profile that dubbed her a “niche Indian actress.”
“In India, there’s the conventional idea of a mainstream commercial film star where they love you because you entertain and give them escape, but you’re not really accountable as an actor to stand for anything,” she explains. “I guess my expectation from a different kind of actor who does films that reach my heart and travel with me would be somehow more personal, and that is a bit of a niche.”

Home viewing charts inspire deja vu: “Anyone but You,” a hit as a PVOD release, just debuted at Netflix. It knocked out Netflix’s expensive “Rebel Moon — Part Two: The Scargiver” from first place after two weeks, falling to #6.
Similarly, “Dune: Part Two” returned for its second week as #1 at both iTunes (ranking by transactions) and Fandango (which calculates by revenue).
The “Dune” sequel fended off challenges by two recent theatrical releases. Dev Patel’s “Monkey Man” (Universal), once intended as a Netflix original, is #2 at iTunes, third at Fandango. The family-oriented “Arthur the King” (Lionsgate) took second at Fandango, but only #6 at iTunes. Both initially are available to rent for 48 hours for $19.99.
Two new home-play debuts also made top 10 lists. “Cash Out” (Saban) is #9 at iTunes, renting at $6.99; starring John Travolta, the critically reviled title may be getting as much attention for its little-known director Ives. That’s...

In its first weekend of release, the United Artists Releasing product starring Zendaya, Challengers debuted in first place with a total of $15.0 million. This was enough to easily best second-place finisher Unsung Hero which debuted with a total of $7.8 million earned for Lionsgate Films. Meanwhile, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire held its ground at number three where it added $7.2 million over its fifth weekend in release to bring its overall total for Warner Bros. to $181.7 million. Colman Domingo never imagined he would be “a 100 of anything.”
“The fact that I’m one of the 100 most influential people in the world feels like I have a lot to live up to, and I want to because I don’t take that lightly,” Domingo told Variety on the red carpet at the Time100 Gala Thursday night. “The fact that someone in some committee believed that I’m impacting many people on this planet, I feel like now the work begins even more so. I know that I have to be even more mindful and thoughtful about how I create and the work that I do.”
Hosted by Taraji P. Henson at Frederick P. Rose Hall in New York City, the Time100 Gala celebrated this year’s most influential figures across film, sports, music and more, including Domingo, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, 21 Savage, Human Rights Campaign president Kelley Robinson, Fantasia Barrino and Henson herself.

Immerse yourself in a narrative rich with rhythm, action, stunning cinematography, and skillful editing, Monkey Man presents a story that ingeniously blends mysticism with a classic tale of vengeance, marked by violence and atrocity. At its core, themes of injustice and mortality intertwine with ancient gods, blurring into the multi-faceted reality that persists in India.

At the helm, writer, director, and lead actor Dev Patel demonstrates his readiness to narrate a grand story filled with epic moments, commercial appeal, and ultimately, a high-quality film that masterfully weaves action, social drama, and exceptional cinematography.

Two of spring’s starriest releases arrive on digital platforms this week. Neither was a commercial sensation, but each attracted enough buzz to signal long shelf lives ahead. Watch one when you get home from seeing “Challengers.”
The contender to watch this week: “Love Lies Bleeding“
For her sophomore feature, Rose Glass, one of the coolest directors working today, made an erotic lesbian crime thriller starring Kristen Stewart as an ’80s gym manager who falls hard for a bodybuilder (Katy O’Brian), not realizing her new lady has ties to her estranged gangster father (a long-haired Ed Harris). It’s an electric movie oozing with noirish grime, but it wasn’t quite the runaway hit A24 was probably hoping for, collecting a modest $8.7 million at the worldwide box office despite Stewart’s star power. Still, “Love Lies Bleeding” seems destined for cult-favorite status, and Glass has gained a lifetime’s worth of clout.
