According to Samuel L. Jackson, Marvel had issues with fans flying drones overhead during filming in an effort to leak spoilers, so "They shot one down. And they followed one back to where the dude was. They found him and, yeah, they got him."
Kingsley Ben-Adir adopts a Welsh accent for this role. He says his reasons for this were: "We were looking at different places he could be from-obviously Birmingham had been done, Peaky Blinders did it, so that didn't work. There's a mixed-race community in Butetown, and I just thought that might be a nice way in. It's a large Caribbean community with a military history too, so I started speaking to people from around there to figure out the character."
The original "Secret Invasion" comic was an event that affected the whole Earth; the writers scaled the scope down and made it a spy thriller starring Nick Fury and Talos.
Principal photography ended in April 2022, but it was reported in June that the series is set to have four months of reshoots starting in mid July.
The producers cite the spy features Homeland (2011), The Americans (2013) and The Third Man (1949), the works of spy writer John le Carré and the Western movie The Searchers (1956) as an influence on the series.
