- Episodes shown many countries (particularly UK and Australia) have contain many of the more vulgar and sensitive scenes edited out. In fact, some of the more vulgar and violent episodes have never aired in some countries as well. Adventure Time also received censorship in countries like Brazil, Latin America, Spain, Turkey, Portugal, Philippines, India, Canada and Japan. However, DVDs and some syndicated airings are uncut.
- In the Korean dub of the show, Lady Rainicorn speaks English.
- On Netflix, the last part of the episode Tree Trunks where Tree Trunks the elephant walking happily in the Crystal Dimension after exploding from eating the Crystal Apple is removed for unknown reasons.
- DVD releases distributed by Warner in the UK contains edited versions of the episodes and some of them are even missing in its entirety in season 2 and 3 DVDs. Those releases received a PG rating by the British Board of Film Classification (meaning they're suitable for 8-year-olds), with a few "episodes" receiving a U (appropiate for 4-year-olds). In 2019 Manga Entertainment announced the release of unedited Blu-Rays and DVDs and all of them were about to get a PG as well. Looks like the distributor considered that those were rated already by the BBFC so they didn't need a re-submission, without considering that the BBFC never reviewed some scenes that could have raised the rating, including the use of the term "spaz" in the season 1 episode "His Hero". Looks like yours truly flagged that to Manga and finally the BBFC gave a 12 rating to the episode (and therefore to the season) for "discriminatory language". However, seasons 4 and 5 uncut (which were never released before in home media in the UK) received an actual PG, because they considered episodes like the scary "Too Old" or the innuendo-filled "Apple Wedding" or "Frost & Fire" to be appropiate under the "mild comic violence, language" tag (source: BBFC.co.uk). All of this means that the season 1-5 pack that Manga plans to release will receive a 12 (officially) just for one second within 102960 seconds (=1716 minutes) of content (source: manga.co.uk).
