[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the June 10 episode of Jeopardy!] Could a Daily Double bet have changed the entire outcome of Adriana Harmeyer’s ninth game? Harmeyer, an archivist from West Lafayette, Indiana, came into Monday’s (June 10) episode of Jeopardy! as an eight-day champion with a total winning of $183,100. She faced off with software developer Josh Fry, originally from Peachtree Corners, Georgia, and high school video production teacher Aaron Lemos, from Northridge, California. Harmeyer got off to a strong start in the first Jeopardy! round, running the Bunny Lit category, but Fry was close, with $2,800 to her $3,800 (and Lemos had $2000) when he chose the Daily Double, in Capitals & Their Airports. “King Khalid International is its gateway,” read the clue. He lost all on a true Daily Double. (The correct answer was Riyadh.) Harmeyer led after the first round with $3,000 to her opponents’ $1,600 each. Harmeyer then found the second Daily Double in the Double Jeopardy! round under ...

With mountains of debt piling up and familial tensions swirling, the larger-than-life Charlie is pushed to extremes beyond measure and money can’t get him out of it. Disappearing into the role, Daniels puts forth a riveting performance that functions like a stage performance on film, bringing reality to some surreal moments along the way. Below, Daniels breaks down his performance as Charlie, discusses those wilder moments and his onscreen death scene, and reveals why he refuses to become an actor with a brand. As an M&a event looms on the horizon for Paramount Global, the three execs in the conglomerate’s “Office of the CEO” are now eligible for stepped-up severance payments in the event of a sale or merger — and the company also will award them cash bonuses for the time they serve as co-CEOs.
The move comes as Shari Redstone, Paramount’s controlling shareholder, is evaluating a merger offer from David Ellison’s Skydance Media, which the Paramount Global board’s special committee has recommended. Meanwhile, that protracted sale process has attracted other bidders interested in buying out Redstone’s National Amusements Inc.

The animated sitcom as it exists today — The Great North, Krapopolis, Rick and Morty, the list goes on — enjoys a level of quality that animators might have sold their drafting tables for in the 1990s. Fluidity and fidelity are the first two qualities you'll notice about these types of shows, regardless of how offbeat their character design is or how extravagant their vocal cast might be. Even South Park has finessed its famously crappy house style well beyond anything we could have imagined. The animated sitcom is now so polished with hypercompetence and homogeneity that it makes older series like Home Movies feel anarchic by comparison.

Julia Fox is standing up against what she sees as a smearing of her creative vision on her feature screenwriting debut “Lipstick Palm.”
Fox exclusively told IndieWire that she is “not pleased” with issues that have arisen amongst the film’s producers. Fox penned the script with Sara Apple, and told Page Six in May 2023 that she was in pre-production on the dark comedy crime feature that was “‘Weekend at Bernie’s’ meets ‘Spring Breakers.'” Fox will act in a supporting role in the film, while the lead stars have yet to be announced.
“Right now we have our cast, we have a director, but we are having some issues,” Fox told IndieWire more than one year later. “We just have some producers that can’t get on the same page, which really sucks and I would speak on it more, but if it does end up going to court,...

Taylor Tomlinson didn’t imagine herself as a host when she first met with CBS about their “@Midnight” reboot last year. She assumed the filming schedule would interfere with her first love — stand-up — but it was worth taking the meeting to meet new people and maybe score some panelist appearances.
But when the executives in charge revealed they’d create a filming schedule that would allow her to still perform comedy gigs on the weekends, an entirely new world opened up.
“I took this job because I wanted to develop new skills and grow as a person,” Tomlinson tells Variety while walking around her set.

Former USA Network drama “White Collar” was a basic-cable relic before it was added to the Netflix library on April 1, 2024. But like “Suits” before it, another USA drama that found new life when it wound up on Netflix, “White Collar” has since turned up on Nielsen’s Top 10 Streaming Overall (original and acquired series) list — twice.
“White Collar,” a Fox-produced show, has been on Hulu (because Disney’s Fox acquisition closed in 2019) since December 2018. But until Netflix nabbed the co-exclusive rights this spring, the series had never been a factor in streaming. The show, which ran from 2009-2014 on USA Network, was pretty much an afterthought. Just like “Suits.”
But now, like “Suits,” “White Collar” is getting a sequel series.
“We’re gonna reboot. I’m writing the script,” series creator Jeff Eastin said at Variety’s TV FYC Fest. “It’s the original cast.”

There’s even a day of self-care and a new friendship for Sally. Inspired by several episodes of The Snoopy Show‘s third season (also available on Apple TV+) and the 50th anniversary of the Beagle Scouts May 14, 1974 introduction to the Peanuts comics, the 2-D treat—which features some of the most gorgeously rendered backgrounds—is yet another great addition to the growing collection of Peanuts content on the streamer.

“I think Mel’s got the best of every world, don’t you?” Bonnie Langford asks of her Doctor Who companion, who traveled with the Sixth (Colin Baker) and Seventh (Sylvester McCoy) incarnations of the Time Lord. She’s returned since, most recently in the 60th anniversary special, “The Giggle,” and now will be seen in the June 10 episode, “The Legend of Ruby Sunday.” Mel’s presence at Unit in “The Giggle” was a surprise to the Fourteenth Doctor (David Tennant) as she handed him a tablet. “I love the bit,” Langford tells TV Insider. “I love the bit where Catherine [Tate as companion Donna Noble] turned around and said, ‘I thought I was the only redhead.’ And I had to go, ‘No, I was the first,’ showing that there could be this kind of jealousy between companions.
