How to Get Away with Murder (2014)
seriously awesome
What else can I say, it's awesome, all those twists, turns and surprises ... They all are excellent actors and actresses
Ghost in the Shell (2017)
Worth the watch
Some gave such bad reviews that I had to watch it myself (yeah it's better in most cases to judge for yourself by watching it) I personally enjoyed it plenty, enough action and mystery to got me going, wanting to see what happens in the end. And I most definitely liked the created city atmosphere, very futuristic and definitely worth the watch
The Accountant (2016)
Loved it
Like the action and his very cool calm way ... Pretty nice to watch, and I must admit: I was hoping he'll fall in love completely and take the girl with him, but he didn't ... This is one of those movies that I can watch over and over and perhaps you too, depending if you like to have your own personal repeat of things that's not chosen by movies theatres and television movies
Aura (2018)
Ummmm.....
I was waiting for that massive explosion of haunting and mental torment (the poster is much more scarier) ... It didn't happen, BUT only one thing that made this movie interesting, was the ending (so now I'm hoping there'll be an Aura 2 which I think will be more explosive and scarier than hereditary) ... If you are into seriously minimal entertainment of the paranormal, then yeah, definitely worth the watch
Paralytic (2016)
O-kayyy seriously?
Worst thriller with mystery movie ever (according to me and my personal taste), the cover of the movie is more action packed and dramatic than this movie. It's boring like crazy, almost fell asleep and I was seriously waiting for the action and the vengeance only to find none. If you like life boring or if you feel like being boring and like stuff with a little twist in the end, then definitely you'll enjoy it.
Ghostland (2018)
Good way of saying "don't engage with strangers"
This one I founded quite interesting, it was scary (not in a horror way, but in a reality way) ... Taken there are people in the world that are like the two men futured in this movie, vile, disgusting, paedophile ways and thoughts, who tortures and all that. This is the most perfect reason why people, especially women and young girls should not be engaging with people they don't know. Sure if you live in a bubble of make believe and pull a blind eye, you'll find this movie absurd, annoying and will say that men are futured in this movie as vile creatures with a filthy obsession with women and their privates (yeah, vaginas). If you like a more realistic look at what can happen and what will usually not be an ending of found alive etc, then this movie is a definite go for it and watch it. It's abusive in every way. It does have a twist though, which was quite surprising.
Breaking In (2018)
Pretty cool but with that typical ending
How she plays with the minds of the men who's holding her kids hostage, not bad, at a certain stage I thought she was in the army or something ... Many times of suspense, definitely got the magic of the glue on the seat that'll keep you there, and how they die shame especially the one who fell breaking his neck ... And then that typical annoying ending, the sirens heard from the distance after all have been killed and the victims (the family from mother to father and their 2 kids) survived it all. Wonder if Hollywood can ever have a different ending, this ending is always at the end of majority of movies. It's like they don't know how to end movies differently, everyone copying the other action packed type movie. The only movies that don't have this ending are the psychological thrillers and horrors
Ouija House (2018)
Nice to watch kind of entertaining
Not much of spoilers ... It's that scream they do when going to the next letter inside the house and the house of the mother after being bought back by her daughter (the possession of the pure evil warlock) that kind of in a way ruins the movie (for me) ... Yes the beginning was scary, and the stone going into the girls' throat, but that was about it ... Okay if you get scared real quick then you'll most probably be petrified, but if not, you'll end up laughing and just sit to see how it ends up just for the fun of it ... I did like it though taken it had that grip of keeping me looking and not walk away ... It is worth the watch, otherwise, I definitely would've walked away
A Quiet Place (2018)
Not scary as much, it's okay, entertaining
Many were saying that this is an ultimate scary horror, but to me, not as much, this type of movies will keep me glued but not scared ... It was entertaining though ... But the father's character, okay well played but also bit annoying. After his wife gives birth he goes looking for their children, who is waiting for him at top of the ceilo (yeah okay excuse the spelling) where they tend to light the torch type thing, he goes into the opposite direction to look for them and only when they are heard by one of the creatures does he start running towards them (stupid, pretty much). Then he's sacrificial death to save his kids - seriously, who does that, he could've fought it off actually, instead he drops his gun and stand in front of the car waiting for the creature to take him out (his wife - who just gave birth - had more balls than he did even his daughter who actually figured out their weakness and was able to help kill the creatures, had more balls than he did) ... None-the-Less, it's quite entertaining and worth having a watch if you like slow, stupid men and believe in women power ...
Hereditary (2018)
Scary and very freaky too
I must say not many movies gives me the chills, and I laugh at many horror, sci-fi and mystery combination movies and I tend to sleep afterwards really peaceful, but this one, gave me chills, kept me on the edge, freaked my mind out and ended up causing me a struggle to go to sleep ... The best time to watch this would be at Midnight or bit later or just before midnight so that when the clock strikes 12 a person must be by the horror, sci-fi and mystery parts
Flight 666 (2018)
It's actually pretty cool
I read some of the spoilers etc and I must say it's clear many didn't even watched the whole movie and some just watched the beginning ...
And if they watched it completely through, they would've known that the women killed in the beginning and their pictures were taken of their corpses as trophy's went on the airplane itself. The spirits/souls of these women including the unborn baby's spirit/soul are connected to the trophy's reason why they were haunting the plane. As for the half a plain, who cares, I didn't even notice it, I was more interested in the natural conversations they were all having, after all, in reality we don't speak from a script ... The only thing that was milking the movie a bit, was the "Revenge" part, where the spirits/souls possesses the people and scream revenge, other than that, it was pretty nice to watch and for a low budget I can add it to my collection when it comes on DVD
Triangle (2009)
The best I've ever watched
I just love this, and it's definitely kind of freaky especially when the same person sees itself in a pile of bodies of themselves ... And the attempts to stop everything from re-occuring and going back to the house to stop herself killing herself and her son seeing it just freaks the mind out ... When on the ship she notices all the lockets that gathered at the bottom showing how many times she's re-tried and relived everything, it kind of reminds me of the Bermuda triangle mysteries people speak about in books ... It's an awesome movie, and I will definitely add it to my collections of movies
Inoperable (2017)
Not bad, it's okay
So I was intrigued and thought it's a horror, but to me, thit isn't a horror, maybe a psychological thriller or just a plain thriller ... When the events started happening, my first thoughts. Were Triangle (the one where the woman relives everything as she tries to escape the ship, where she finds out that she caused her son's death and then went on the yacht with her friends) but unlike Triangle where everything happens over and over, this one changes as they try to figure out how to escape - In the end Inoperable came with an unexpected twist which was quite surprising, then everything made sense. As for reality looking effects, according to me, not as good, they could've done better, cause I can think of many movies that tops theirs by far ... It's still worth the watch and I'll definitely watch it again
Smurfs: The Lost Village (2017)
It's pretty cool
Very nice and cool, I just miss the original Gargamel - Hank Azaria (he nailed it) and Jonathan Winters - Papa. I guess that happens when you've watched the previous two smurf movies and the cartoon tv series's ... But no matter, it's still an awesome movies with that touch of adventure and finding new things
